Very clean and pretty painting!
Have you considered shading these ones? Don't think the Striking Scorpions need it, but the others could really use some Nuln Oil or Agrax Earthshade on their armour to bring out the detail.

Wow, nice work.
I suspect the pics do the orange and red injustice, because they look to be almost unfinished and flat compared to the quality of the other guys.
Power blades, wings and clean whites looks top notch, but some of the areas look like they need some
more shading to bring out details (but like I said, I suspect this has something to do with the light in the pictures).
Scorps work really good with the scaled armour or the DE.

Thanks gang!
I do think the picture doesn't portray the orange and light blue very well, but I am also a fan of subtle shading on brighter colors. In person, there is a noticeable gradation in shades and highlights. The orange, for example does have some redish tones between the armour, as well as some yellowish highlights on the edges.
The contrast of bright colors, dark colors and light backdrop made it hard to see those shades. It took me over a dozen shots before I got a picture I was happy with. The Banshee's face details were blurry in most.
What do you guys thing about my Shining Spear/Warlock conversions? (in the link) I haven't decided how to paint them yet, other than white helmets. I am torn between all red (my army is Saim Hann themed, with bit of yellow) or mostly blue like the traditional Spears.

The Warlock looks pretty neat - I like his helmet especially. However I'm not digging the fusion gun much
I think the Shining Spears themselves look a bit weird posed on the Hellion skiffs like they are, but I think if you worked on that it would look really cool. Did you create that conversion before GW released the new Windrider bikes?
As for a paint scheme, I personally think Aspect Warriors look cooler in an army if their shrine colours don't match that of the Craftworld they're attached to; doesn't have to be the classic style, but try something contrasting to make them stand out as the elites (I'd try purple if it was me )

The shining spears look fine, but will probably not be instantly recognised as that particular unit.
Hoover boards probably not ideal for jousting/lances
If you find a nice colour/theme for shinies, let me know!
I got 3 that I tried a few different variations for, but always end up throwing them in my box of shame with old and awkvard models never to be used again.

I converted the Spears/Warlocks recently. I had the idea to use star cannons (which I have a bunch of) as extra engines for jetbike. Since the Hellion box it much, MUCH cheaper than getting jetbikes, it seemed like a fun idea.
I haven't made a list I like them in, as either Shining Spears or a Seer council, but once I get them painted, I'm sure I'll put in the effort to get them on the table. I think I'm gonna start with the "Exarch" and paint it in the shrine colors. If I like it, I'll do the rest like that.
I'm leaning towards shine colors anyway, since all Warlocks were once Aspect warriors. I could still play then as Warlocks even if they are painted like Spears.
