So, I was looking into a low-model count "fun" army - mostly to paint up and display, but also to take to any 30k tourneys that might pop up (easy travel).

For this list, Scoria - who is basically a Primarch with all his ridiculous rules - goes with his bodyguards that just look to wreck stuff. Mauler Castellax punish MEQ, the Darkfire help hurt armor, as do the Thallax. The Arlatax are... just gross, really. 4 S9 AP2 Shred attacks on the charge on a T6 3+ Jump Pack MC with 6+ FNP. I mean... really. Plus, it has two S6 Assault 3 guns. The Avengers are my anti-air units, but also my anti-SpatarnEQ killers with their Tank Hunter Armorbane Krakens. The Thanatar are there to mop up large groups of models, ideally erasing them with ease.

Overall, I think this would be a fun army to model and paint. Hopefully, the missing stuff comes out soon - Scoria and the Arlatax.

Any thoughts on it? Ideas? Critiques?

This is actually Legio Cybernetica correct? Your army could be either Taghmata or LC.

Give the Castellax frag grenades. As LC they become I4, so you definitely want to never miss out on punching marines at the same step and going first against other automata.

You're running Scoria, so you might as well turn one of the Arlatax into the Homonculex.

Can I convince you to drop one of the Thanatar and instead pick up a unit of Vorax? They are basically the most effective unit to pair with Scoria's Rite of the Beast due to volume of attack (both regular and Smashes).

I'm not a fan of MM Thallax; I like mine as Ferrox looking to club things with the heavy chainblades, but why not.

8000 points of XI Legion the Space Vagabonds, they can adapt their tactics to represent any and every Legion and Chapter as needed because they were created by the Emperor to be the ultimate tactical power. They have faked their disappearance in order to infiltrate every part of the conflicts in the galaxy.

8000 points of Tau/Craftworld Eldar/Necron because the Space Vagabonds can also emulate their wargear and tactics.

Victories: ALL
Losses: NONE (My armies have the psychic ability to conjure a cataclysmic storm whenever they are about to lose. This allows the Space Vagabonds to teleport away while releasing power waves that destroys the battlefield and so every battle is a victory)

If it were my list i'd have some fearless blobs of thralls for objective camping - if you did what Vhalyar is suggesting with the thanatar you could free up enough points for one.

Otherwise it's quite colourful, robot heavy and my word Scoria is a beast!
Batrep material i think.

The Ordo Reductor - the guy's who make wonderful things like the Landraider Achillies, but can't use them in battle..

The only thing I am sad about with the Homonculex is that is goes bye-bye if, by some amazing chance, Scoria bites it. That sucks! But it is something easily tinkerable, provided I get the list on the table... and that FW actually makes the Arlatax model in a reasonable timeframe.

Vorax are just so... ugly. If only they didn't look like stupid bugs. Same with the Ursarax. Both are just so unappealing as models to me. It is a shame!

I will give a look at the Cybernetica option. I4 on the Castellax would be very helpful.

@SirDonlad - Thralls are not bad, but I don't really want a high model count, so when I see "blob" I start to cringe. I am sure they are good, though.

This has to be run under Legio Cybernetica unless I missed something with Scoria's rules, Castellax can not be taken as compulsory Troops choices in a normal Taghmata list.

Just run it as Cybernetica and its fine. I'm actually looking at running a very similar Scoria list at 2000 points. Hopefully Arlatax come out sometime soon. The biggest problem will be taking objectives as you only have one troop unit that can.
