Imagine that I wished to store 2 Fire Prisms, 1 Falcon, 20-40 infantry, a handful of Jetbikes and the ForgeWorld Avatar of Khaine.

Which of the Citadel Boxes, if any would work?

I'm guessing this one, but I don't know the dimensions.

As much as I love my Citadel case, I have significant difficulty fitting large models in it. Crusade, definitely.

Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.

All of the new cases have grooved foam inserts that allow for any size of model to be placed in them; there are also larger slots at the bottom of the cases for vehicles and super heavies like Knights

See for yourself how much you can fit into a Crusade Figure case:

That cheesy case drop tho

But if you're willing to spend the extra dollar, Battlefoam will make custom slots for your Fire Prisms and Falcons in a range of case dimensions

And there would still be some space for a Knight and a Baneblade if you want to be a real TFG

Actually scratch that, you aren't a REAL TFG till you put your Crusade Case in one of these:

Should be painted red to go fasta and have banners and streamers and gak.

Also an orcified purity seal.

EDIT: On Topic: Are you looking for something to store around the house or for taking your stuff to the store/tournaments/club?

I will say...as a lifetime Eldar player, there is no really good way to transport the majority of Eldar vehicles/models. They're probably easier now being plastics predominantly.

You could go to somewhere like kr multicase have just as good storage for significantly less, citadel cases are a rip off they just took existing cases stuck their brand on it and tripled the price.

I'd also check out Battlefoam, as they make custom inserts for specific 40k models, such as Eldar Falcons and Fire Prisms

Seconded - for fragile eldar the aluminum 800 series would be the ideal midpoint choice.

KR do as well ,and the reason I bring it up is the only person I know who has battlefoam lusts after my KR customs as for a lot of models they're more efficient, and the standard foam tray size is more flexible.

Some people find the idea that other people can be happy offensive, and will prefer causing harm to self improvement.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Good to know! I've never bought a case since most of my things stay at home in a display cabinet or in drawers, but I'll keep it in mind if I ever do consider

KR's cardboard range is also not to be dismissed on principle if you want safety, but a. don't have enough to warrant 80~ liters and b. want to spend more on dudes so you can eventually have 80~ liters.

In my case (see what I did there?) I got to the point of spending so much time reparing models carted in the old, weak foam GW cases that I snapped (hehe) and never looked back, until it was time to cart around the Marauder.

custom cases that are on par with GW prices, and fit the model, IE will be to shape of a fire prism, and you can custom design them as well.

Alternatively, get a large tub, hot glue a metal plate to the bottom of it, then attach magnets to the bottom of all your minis and BAM instant case.

To many unpainted models to count.

Kr cardboard is very durable I'm still using one's I bought In 2012 and they only have wear at the joint of the lid.

You could probably fit what you want in one KR box. One of the newer 1.5 sized ones would let you have roomier trays for the infantry.

I quite like my GW crusade case. Lots of space and the trays are very customisable meaning you aren't limited to certain sized slots as the ribs just move out of the way to fit what you need.

People are cautious of GW prices for good reason. I argue a lot of the mark up on the case is down to the foam inserts and the citadel stamp. But definitely worth it if you get 20% discount from an independent retailer

Crusade Case is great for rounder shaped, infantry based army's like marines. It is also good for changing it's shape to fit what you are putting in it. Go with the largest as it gives room for taking up on side with some larger minis. The smaller ones are only good if you play basic small skirmish games.

It is not good for vehicles, or carrying extra things like books.
If it was just a bit wider to lay a book down, I'd have a easier time with it.

Battlefoam or Tablewar is what I wish I started with. Much more versatility. And much less risk with more delicate pieces.
