I like the idea of rampager squads, and they certainly seem like a fluffy choice for elite and fast attack slots, but I'm not sure how to run them. How do you equip your rampagers?

sadly FW missed the chance to fix these, they are great for fluff but not much else, so equip them however you like as they will never be optimal.

ya they are pretty horrible compared to all other Special units in 30k.
Your better off taking tactical/assault squads.

So I heard that chain axes are S+1 now but I'm not sure where it says this or if it is even true. Can anyone confirm or deny this for me and if it is true, could it then be a viable option to leave rampagers bare bones apart from maybe jump packs?

Yeah chainaxes are now +1 st it's in the updated red book Legiones astartes age of darkness army list. Nice boost to us World Eaters player.

Awesome. In that case I may just run rampagers stock with jump packs. Maybe add artificer armour and a power sword to the champion
