30k has been a huge money-make for GW/FW because most people play Space Marines/Spikey Space Marines and another sub-genre of a game with more Space Marines is like crack for them but for those of us not into the 30k stuff are we being left behind?
I personally don't play 30k because it's all just Space Marines vs Space Marines which I already get enough of at the game store. The solar Auxilia look cool but you know your opponent will always be some kind of Space Marine. I am waiting for more FW 40k models for other Xenos races. Sure the Tau Barracuda just got updated but that took YEARs and it is not a new model.
When is the next Imperial Armour coming out? Doom of M. for the Eldar is already years old now. When is the next Ork kit? Or even Necron or Tyranid kits?

Didn't the latest Eldar book just come out earlier this year? Or was it sometime last year.
They just released/are releasing a new Tau Flyer, and the Taunar is pretty new, as well.
They are releasing new Skitarii Upgrade kits, and there is a Space Marine/AdMech/Tau book enroute.

The Doom of Mymera was just an update - the book released like 2-3 years ago. It kept all the same fluff.
The Skitaari kits are for 30k not 40k.
Sure they make SOME small stuff but 75%+ of the efforts at FW seems to be towards 30k.

How dare they put most of their efforts to the game they created, right?
Most of the books are rehashes of old fluff at this point, with just updated rules, since that's what people care about more. I'd rather have more books that keep up with the rules than new fluff and slower book releases.
Has it slowed down? Yeah. But they are dividing themselves between their money maker (30k, most of which can be used in 40k), the AOS stuff they've been releasing, and 40k.
I'm sure they will redo Kastorel-Novem eventually, update Badab and all the characters that need to be updated within.
If you are hoping for more Xenos fluff/stuff, probably going to be disappointed, though. Forge World has always been Imperium centric, since the boutique product of the niche hobby needs to cast as wide a net with as little invested, and the Imperium/Space Marines do that.

The Skitarii kits are for both 40k and 30k, I believe.

Yes, it can be said that the Admech stuff are party 30k.
So forgeworld are MOSTLY 30k these days, but eldar did get an update just last year, tau got a new flyer released this very week, and there are new AoS models on preorder, and AoS just got a pdf update for matched play (bull centaur stuff, related to chaos dwarves.)
So no, they did not give up anything non-30k. 30k is the focus, until they finish it (will take a few more years), but there are xenos and AoS running around still.

Yes very reliable. He talked to the FW guys himself and he was one of the guys who predicted the main Tau release from last year as well as leak the Imperium/AdMech vs Tau book. Heck he even knew of something coming that one of the other reliable rumor mongers didn't which puts him at the fabled 90% accurate rating. However all FW said was they were considering it and they were doing some conception (likely just art). The FW Tau designers also took feedback on what Tau players would like to see in upcoming releases, but they can't confirm or deny if any of that will be used for obvious spoilerific reasons. There is a thread on advanced tau tactica general section about this latter thing.
The rumor guys name I forget right now. Kor something, but you will find he is listed here in the rumor success rate thread.
Edit
It is likely we won't be seeing it with the upcoming Tau book. Also common sense says the Tau will get a new titan sooner than anyone thinks. 1. The model sold out for months on backorder (one of FW's few to do that) 2. In the lore it specifies this is the first in a series of new titan class platforms 3. It will be hella cool. 4. They trotted out Ta'unar options quicker than greased lightning so there is not much they could add to the Ta'unar since all the Tau weapons are now represented barring making a new weapon type.

I thought they were working on a new IA book with all the Tau suits that only have online rules. It's not THAT long since those came, either. Tau got flying commanders and a huge suit.
Eldar got the Skathatch Wraithknight, Corsairs got a full army list, a pretty solid update imo.
Renegades & Heretics have no less than two books.

I think it's more that they have so many units on their plate for 30k. They're giving us amazing coverage for legion flair. Pretty much every legion gets their own shoulders/helmets/chests, they each have special units and weapons and that's just for marines. They also make pretty much the entirety of solar auxilia and the 30k mechanicum. Plus they only have so much staff and they still have bunch of books to release.
30k is now their main product and I would be disappointed if they didn't put the majority of releases into 30k. Even doing so they are slow to release. And yet they somehow manage to cram in the odd 40k release to keep people happy. So yea, I don't think they have abandoned 40, they just have more important stuff to do right now.

Was the Doom 2e accompanied by new miniatures though? No new miniatures, old players have little reason to buy anything and get excited about. Updating old stuff isn't exactly reason for excitement for non-30k fans.

I think as GW moves to bigger and more complex models it would make sense for FW to start concentrating more on 30K which is (realistically) their own pet project.

They are, the SH tank would be looked at after that. Right now they are just brain storming new stuff for Tau or were months ago when this rumor was around. Probably stuff for the next series of Tau releases whenever that might be.

The Skathach Wraithknight was the new model released with DoM 2nd ed. I don't know if Warp Hunters were around before hand but they suddenly became very useful and have featured in many tournement lists since. And then there's the Corsairs, who were little more than a useless curio before but now have a very strong army list available to them.
