Our community is just getting into HH. I want to play templar themed imerial fists. Here`s list I created. I`m thinking about swapping heavy support squad with predator with plasma executioner. The my friends play iron hads with knight and iron warriors with iron circle. The latter gives us really hard time. When we played agaisnt him(his 4000 points against 2000 of me and 2000 iron hands. We were just running away from it and killing other units. How you kill it? Are there any imperial fists deathstars that can beat iron circle. What do you think of my list? Thanks in advance.

It's pointing out the obvious cheese but; Take Quad Mortars with Phosphex...12 Poisoned AP3 shots will make short work of the Iron Circle.

Yes that's correct, so you would probably need to swap the medicae for a Seige Breaker. I like the list, and if the siege breaker goes with the Missile Launcher guys, then they'll get tank hunter, which will buff your anti tank. It looks like a solid, fluffy list though.

Imperial fists heavy support squads have tank hunters by default. Now I just need to find points to fit it all

Is phospex a blast? because if so, he will reroll those invul saves as if they had hardened armour...


Needless to say, this was a painful game for me. I used contemptors, terminators and sigismund with 3 templars to kill 4 of those MCs and perturabo in CC.

Can I see your list? Was sigismund in challenge with perturabo? Here`s what I came with. No quad mortars because as said earlier he can reroll invuln saves and they come really pricey. I also like breachers by look but they are also expenive in points I want to get most of them

My list wasn't competitive, I played only infantry and 2 dreads.


Sigismund challenged Perturabo but he only had 3 wounds left after the d3 (3!!!!) orbital bombardment hit my templar squad. It killed polux and lots of templars with that. He managed to get a single wound on perturabo but he got 2 in return and got blinded. That killed him next combat phase. I had to push in with terminators then and challenge with a terminator sgt who managed to hold himself for more than 2 full turns.

I ran:

Sigismund
Polux

20 man tactical squad with ccw
20 man phalanx warder squad

10 man templar with combat shields

5 man TH/ss

2 contemptor dreads

1 heavy support squad with missile launchers (8-man)
1 heavy support squad with heavy bolters (7-man)

1 veteran squad with 2 heavy bolters


I got murdered by 40 Missile shots a turn. And perturabo's orbital bombardment didnt make it any prettier

I made this army list as Pride of the legion, so terminators should be troops, not elites. I chose wrong ones.

My bad then .

I'd Drop the consul and add another apothecary to your detachment (unless you plan on using it with terminators).

Apothecaries can now join any PA infantry

And what should I take instead of him? The plan was that medicae is riding together with terminators and Sigismund in spartan.

As I said, If uou're using it with terminators, then its a good idea (Y)


Something that worries me if the small number of units but I do not know what to suggest in that area.


Do you know what the IW has up his sleeve besides the Iron Circle? remember to get the charge on them because they have a w hole bunch of bonuses for doing so!

There is no real IW bonus for charging, just that if your run HOO as your ROW then you can rapid fire and disordered charge.
Has your enemy got a lot of anti tank and high strength shooting? Its just as i check over your list, i cant imagine anything except maybe the spartan surviving uncracked till turn 2 if his list is anything like mine.

The iron circle does d3 HoW per model - i didn't mean the whole army on its own heh

Ahh gotcha, yea best thing for iron warriors is to stay out of combat so they can avoid morale tests.

He needs to add the front-arc shield for the spartan that reduces the strength of incoming shooting atk's by 1 (forgot the name). That should hold up against any massed Missile launcher units and moost LC shots!

Again, thanks for suggestions. He`ll be using hammer of Olimpia so he`ll have 3xtacticals, also he`ll have fire raptor, dereodeo dreadnought, siege breaker, tyrant terminators, magna melta predator and of course Iron cirle x 3 with perturabo

No, he won`t have them
