I have two variants of this list I'm wanting to try out. Went with the Ranged Support Cadre mainly to get the "Hidden Observers" special rule which is why not much is invested into the Broadsides for the formation. Commander would join the Crisis Suit team in both of these list. Just wondering if keeping them back further with the 36" Missile Pods would be better vs the Suits running around with Plasma/Fusion? I wouldn't put the Marker Drones with the Crisis Suits and that's because your Crisis suits need the Marker tokens the most and Marker Drones aren't networked. As for Missile vs. Fusion/Plasma, it's all in what you plan to use them for. In an all-comers environment where you have no clue about the meta, I would go with Missiles, relying on your Railsides, Stormsurge and an Iontide for AP while taking full advantage of your range. If you know you're facing lots of MEQ/TEQ then I would go Fusion/Plasma. Ultimately, I think you want a mix of both. Add some Target Locks and you're good to go.

One, there is no reason to waste the commander's high BS on the mss and c&cn. Give those to a Vre and you swap its BS 3 for the HQ's BS 5.

I have 3 to 4 dual plasma suits with 2 dual fusions (target locks) to giving the HQ PR/FB, so in later turns he can go off being more versatile. This yields plenty of killiness and flexibility.

Riptides:
EWO is far better than Counter Defense System. If you are getting charged.... in the hands of riptides and b-sides EWO is more useful with drop pod marines everywhere.

And SMS or TLFB are better than dual PRs. SMS for pesky hiding infantry and FB for AV14.
