Is the Necron Reclamation Legion a good place to start a Necron army?

Yes. It gives you everything you need to play the decurion, I'd pick up a ghost ark to give the warriors extra mobility and staying power.

Yes to buying it. No to getting a Ghost Ark. They are pretty bad considering the most recent FAQ.

Worth it for the price as the others have said. Annoyingly, I didn't know it existed as a box set before I bought everything seperately :(

Only if you were keeping the Warriors on there exclusively and never dropping them off.

Slowly moving a Ghost Ark across the board while two groups of Warriors flank it, reviving fallen Warriors as it goes is one of my favorite strategies in kill point games.

2000 Khorne Bloodbound (Skullfiend Tribe- Aqshy)
1000 Tzeentch Arcanites (Pyrofane Cult - Hysh) in progress
2000 Slaves to Darkness (Ravagers)

Lol worth it?
That thing was the sole reason for all the hate against necrons a while ago.

I mean, sure. If it doesn't die. Ghost Arks are typically the first thing to go in my games. And I also have DE and Eldar players that like Lances, making it even easier now.

So yeah, I'd rather just bring more warriors.

They like Lances? Well that's bizarre and sucks for you. Doesn't take away everything else from the Ark.

I'm working on getting magnets on my Warriors and a strip of metal on the Ark so they can actually ride it.

If you have your warriors positioned right, the GA will have a 5+ cover for intervening models, not to mention you can always jink with it.

I thought Warriors wouldn't be tall enough to give it 25% obscured?

6000 - Hive Fleet Limax
4000 - Sons of Horus
5500 - Ultramarine's
1000 - Blood Raven's
3000 - Skaven
