I struggle at this point limit to taylor against a Tau using 1xGhostkeel, 1xHammerhead, Commander fully Upgraded (T5 2+Sv 4++ etc.), probably the small stealth suits aswell, few fire warriors and trying to squeeze as much crisis and broadsides as possible.
I struggle with the 2+ cover saves in ruins here(Ghostkeel/stealthsuits)...
I find it hard to taylor against them without wasting too much points.. He will taylor aswell so no worries about bringing the
Wraithguard Dscythes ( this is reliable ignore cover but i think its a bucket way too big for the game size 350pts or so, also i fear crisis will just laugh at them with jetpack moves.. )
Serpent
-basic loadout + holo field
3x Scatbike
3x Scatbike
3x dark reaper (need some can opener for those crisis
Wraithlord, just to annoy him with T8 hopefully..
-flamers
-2x brightlance
Another one, no ignore cover here except serpent shield. Will have a hard time against 2+ Armor/cover
Spoiler:
Autarch Skyrunner (maybe swap with Farseer skyrunner, but i like himhere b/c of the Hawks reserve roll bonus)
-laser lance
-banshee mask
5x Fire dragons
Serpent
-Brightlance
3x Scatbike
3x Scatbike
3x Scatbike
5xSwooping hawks
1xExarch, Sunrifle (i love it)
3x dark reaper (need some can opener for those crisis
3x dark reaper
List #2 is better;
Reapers : upgrade to starshot missile to Instant Death XV8s. Add Exarchs too.
Scatbikes: maybe (if you have rangers or DAs for troop choice number two) combine into one big unit, adding warlock for general PSY boosting. Make your opponent waste markers on getting rid of the warlock's Conceal. And the flip side of Conceal is Reveal so Ghosts and Stealth suits lose their shroud. If you get Horrify then psyShriek becomes devastating.
Go with a farseer on a bike, selecting psyShriek, Guide and Prescience.
Normally I would say shelve the Wraithlord , but tau struggle against T8. Bright Lances do ID suits but I would switch to scatlas.
Like you said, wraithscythes and their WaveS are too many points for your smaller game.
Hawks Do you own a 6th hawk?
Helpful?

2 Farseers 1 on bike - 1 on foot. Roll on divination and try to get perfect timing - if you get it - roll on telepathy for psychic screech.
Take a large unit on windriders with no upgrades a small units of scat bikes and the rest of your points put into a big unit of dark-reapers upgraded with start-shot missiles.
Use the large unit of bikes to get your farseer into range to cast telepathy primarius - Then (in case you didn't know) when you are within 9 inches of a ghostkeel it loses it's special rule that gives it cover in the open. Your shuriken catapults will do fine against it without the cover save.
If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

Sorry Xenos, but I think this is a bad idea. Even with jsj, the bikes are going to be in assault range next turn, and the GhostKs, as Monstrous Creatures, are going to wreck guardians on bikes.
And I cannot find that 9 inch rule thing. ... Codex or RB?

Thanks a lot guys! You gave some nice tips, really like the idea of utilizing psy-heavy ignore cover. I havent used the Divination table yet. Im just coming back to 40k from the 4th edition and theres still a lot of cheese to discover yet for me
I think im gonna run a list with 2 Farseers, at least one of them should roll Perfect Timing..
So heres another list, and im quite happy with it:
Spoiler:
1xfarseer on foot
1xfarseer on foot - with uldanorethi longrifle (for the lulz cuz i have only one Farseer on foot modeled, and i will use Illic Nightspear as proxy for a farseer with that overcosted Sniper )
Dat low model count though..
Each farseer sticks to reaper squad, mowing down Infantry, Crisis or the Stealthed dudes in cover with Twin-linked and Ignore cover hopefully
Scatbikes... well do what they do, play objectives and abuse their 12 S6 shots per turn..
Falcon goes hunting the broadsides and possible upgraded commander.
For the Ghostkeel rules: afaik it has shroud(+2) and stealth(+1) confered by his drones(?) and outside of 12" that bonus is even doubled (yea GW whatever..). so he always has a3+ Cv in the open or often 2+ since we usually play a ruin city with a feth ton of cover.
i have plenty of Hawks, you mean 6 Hawks for the bigger template? I usually use 5+Exarch, still gives the big template right?
I love hawks+sunrifle for the flexibility (very fast Haywire, Blind, horde killing)
Probably i will drop some reapers or the falcon to get them back in the list.. dunno yet.
