Hi fellows, i'm looking ofr badass and good sounding russian metal bands. I tend to lean on nu metal or alternative metal as far as my taste, and since i love and learn (beginner level for now ) russian, i'd rather they sang in their native language.

I only aleady know Aria, which quite isn't neither nu nor alternative metal but well, quite good too.

I am a big fan of Arkona and Kalevala. They are a folk metal bands, maybe you'll like them too.

I do admit russian is the only language i know that is trickier than french... but well, the harder the more interesting isnt it ?

Yeah, I have some Dutch friends who are trying to learn it. They are really struggling with it too, and they learned French and German very easily. I sometimes help them out, and then when I see all the rules and such it confuses me too Russian is really overly complicated and precise (just try translating the verb "to go" in Russian ). As a native speaker, I can cope with it by just not thinking about the rules and speaking instinctively, but that won't work if you are not Russian unfortenately. I do think it is a beautiful language though.

Anyway, good luck. It is good that at least some Western people are interested in Russia and want to know about it. Because the knowledge of most people in Europe doesn't go farther than: vodka, snow, fur hats and Putin.
If you can, you really should try visiting Russia some time. Learning Russian in Russia itself is much easier than trying to learn it somewhere else. The trick is to really immerse yourself in a language and be forced to use it. That worked for me with English at least.

Immersive experiences are always the very best way to do, whichever languge you pick: would uninteresting otherwise wouldnt it? But your right russia must be a beautiful country that id love to visit within a 2 month or more trip! Well, still want with an even stringer envy to visit Germany at first but russia s second .
