That and I don't recall anyone stating that this was an incredibly important event either. Not every item posted is the most important thing that has ever happened and everyone has to know about it right away. It seems an odd complaint to be honest.
This.
The OT needs more "Zimmerman got punched" thread and less "X people dead in Y bombing". I come here to excite my sense of child-like wonderment, not reinforce my already steel-strong misanthropy.

They lied on the 911 call, nobody was charged, the punch was alleged, and Zimmerman is banned from the business for being a troublemaker.
What a victim...

Somebody has to stand up for people who are bigger victims than spouses of abusers.

I have to dig up the OT and find that thread where Zimmerman's painting was discussed.
It'll be sorely disappointing if I don't see Cuda1179 waxing poetics about the aesthetical qualities of Zimmerman's Ode to Freedom.

I could post a third link, but the person asking for it already admitted to trolling so what would humoring someone like that say about me.

A man who identified himself as Zimmerman’s friend told 911 dispatchers: “George Zimmerman and I were sitting at a restaurant here eating and four or five guys came up to us and attacked George,” he said. "I tried to film it and they knocked my phone out of my hand and down onto the dock when I was trying to film it."
Zimmerman has a friend?!?!

The bar crawl rallying cry of "There's always someone more horny than you are ugly", can be amended to fit this situation. "There's always someone more lonely than you are offensive."

The tax office will never waste the pay on someone to "catch" old ladies bringing in cans worth 15 cents apiece. And yet this is one of the summer fillers we get.
Returning cans is not taxable income as it is simply return on capital. (Ie you are just getting back money you spent).
Well, you tell that to our tax office then. Unless you keep all the receipts where you bought a few cans anything you return to the store for cash is indeed income if you really get to incredible levels of lawful. And there are people bad enough off that they'll make up at least some of their income by collecting recyclable bottles and cans in the wake of those that are well-enough off to not bother picking everything up. And as I said, the tax office isn't going to waste their time looking for this particular thing - but when a journalist asks they have to say yes, it's taxable income.
So in effect it's creating an article to fill the pages for a slow season, just as following Zimmermann is. Sadly he's not yet so well-known over the US that he could do like our former ski jumping champion Matti Nykänen did and basically provide country-wide "news" for money if someone needed it.

Not if you collect and return cans left by others. You didn't spend that money. That's income and technically taxable. Of course who bothers...Law should be changed as law you don't enforce is stupid and needless.
