I was talking to one of my friends and he highly recommended the Cyclopian Cabal for my Chaos forces, rather than running Be'lakor and/or a Daemon Prince. I took the idea and ran with it, and this is what I came up with:
Combined Arms Detachment (Khorne Daemonkin)
HQ:
Chaos Lord: Juggernaut, Sigil of Corruption, The Blood-forged Armor, Power Fist, Axe of Khorne
Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage
Troops:
Cultists: 8 men
Cultists: 10 men, Flamer
Fast Attack:
Heldrake: Baleflamer
Gorepack:
Chaos Bikers: 3 bikes, 2x Meltagun, Combimelta and Melta Bombs for champion
Chaos Bikers: 3 bikes, 2x Meltagun, Combimelta and Melta Bombs for champion
Flesh Hounds: 20 dogs
Cyclopian Cabal:
Sorcerer: ML3, Force Axe, Bolt Pistol, Spell Familiar, Bike, Burning Brand of Skalanthrax
Sorcerer: ML3, Force Axe, Bolt Pistol, Spell Familiar, Bike
Sorcerer: ML3, Force Axe, Bolt Pistol, Spell Familiar, Bike
All sorcerers go in houndstar, along with the juggerlord (who is there to take challenges). One sorcerer rolls on Telepathy (hoping for Invis, Shrouding, and possibly Terrify). Another rolls on Biomancy, looking for Iron Arm and/or Endurance). Final Sorcerer rolls on Sanctic, hoping for Hammerhand and/or Sanctuary. Spell Familiars should help make sure powers go off when cast. Not sure if 9 WC is enough, but since I don't have more models available it'll have to do. I'm considering swapping out the Gorepack bikes (rolling the dogs into the KDK CAD), the Heldrake, and the Burning Brand in order to ally in Be'lakor and a min cultist tax. Not sure if this would help, though, as the vast majority of the army will be just the one big deathstar unit and the D-thirster.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

I was recently toying around with an idea similar to this, but running with a herald on jug instead, adding loci of wrath to give the whole houndstar hatred in the first round of combat.

I personally love the extra HoW from the gorepack, it can really help whittle the enemy down. Plus, without the meltas, you'd be a bit short on AT

I think 9 WC is reasonable. Be'lakor is good for the guaranteed invis/shrouding (and also being a boss ), but it does take a heft investment. If you focus on WC1 buffs you should be good. Sanctic Daemonology is probably what you want to go for. You could try for invis but that's going to take 4-6 dice depending on how bad you need it to go off.

Personally, I'd go with a Daemon CAD so you can get Grimiore for the Hounds. Also 2 greater rewards on the Thirster are vital for his survival. 2 unit of nuglings are way better at holding objectives than Cultists.

I don't have the option of running Daemons, as I don't have the Daemons codex or any Nurglings and stuff. You are right about Nurglings being better objective holders, though. My thoughts for the Thirster's survival is to use Invis on him if possible. If I don't get Invis, I will hopefully have shrouding instead. Also, if the D-thirster dies, it's not that big of a deal unless I'm facing a list with 3 or more Imperial Knights, Wraithknights, or 2 or more Stormsurges.. Any shots he takes are shots that aren't hitting my deathstar.
