Suddenly a nice table and some beers just doesn’t seem good enough.

This incredible tabletop setup was posted by Amazing Tabletop Terrain over the weekend. It belongs to (and was built by) Ryan Devoto, featuring the detailed and almost lifelike ocean work of Micheal Tiskus from Terranscapes.

The scale of it all just crushes the mind. There’s the ocean section, the beach, the hills, the ruins, a village, the castle...you could play on this for weeks and still not see everything it has to offer.

..so..not bad then eh ?

Very, very beautiful. I wonder how much the whole thing cost?

While beautiful, there is two problems:

1: I would be afraid to touch it much less play on it.

2: My minis would look like c$%%p on such a beautiful table.

Wonderful, first time I've seen this. Gorgeous.

You could have 10+ different games going on all at once across multiple game systems. If I had such a setup I'd have friends over all the time doing just that.

Soon.

Been following the ocean boards project on the Terranscapes Youtube channel for some time, now. The materials, thought process... all the minutia presented get you thinking, like Mike, about the nitty-gritty details.

Seeing it attached to all the rest... mind=blown. The scale of those boards, alone, is playable. The whole thing, together? I would need thirty brains and a few sticks of dynamite to do it justice.

I knew I saw those Ocean boards before. Combined with all the other tables this looks just so beautiful and epic. Words fail me.

You can play an Orc raid on the village on one side, a Dungeon crawl in the middle, pirates attacking the harbour, and thousand of other Fantasy or historical scenarios.

That is truly inspiring and also something I want to have someday. First I need the room, but I can at least make a start with some modular boards .

I like the display cases as well. Lots of Mierce monsters in that case and titans in another.

Makes me want to get my Tabletop World stuff painted up and on display.

That, my friends, is living the dream.

Is it bad that I recognised the owner/poster from the beautiful display cabinets that are in the background in the blog?

That water is something else indeed. I'd love to have a job building setups like this. Making environments into real homes for miniatures.

Looks like the village is throwing a party, besides if you lived on the sea side it would get old, but if you were close enough to visit when you want it would be best.

That definitely is a work of love.

Yeah but, basing off the table of course, I'd have to travel through the ruins JUST to get to the area where the ocean is at.

The world is flat and it sucks haha.

Couple of more shots from an area that isn't covered in the OP's spread. An islet or tidal island of some type just off the coastline with a tomb or perhaps ruined shrine:

Putting food requirements/lack of prey aside, wouldn't it be neat if there were an ACTUAL SPIDER LIVING IN THIS FOREST? I mean think about it, all the years of this table sitting there, some insects may have set up shop inside that dense foliage. Imagine playing one day and this big spider descends from the treetops and dwarfs your brave adventurers on the tabletop! The horror!
