Hello all!

Recently I have started work on a squad of Militarum... Tempestus... IG Storm Troopers. For their paintjob I was more or less considering moving forward with a Inquisitional Storm Troopers theme; black body armor with dark red BDUs.

It recently occurred to me that it would be cool making the sergeant look like he just struck someone down with his power sword, unfortunately that seems like it'll be rather difficult given the above paint scheme. I could see the blood on his armor being too dark to be visible on the model. Also the fact that the Inquisition wears red BDUs does not help when it comes to making blood spatter visible lol. Any recommendations before I move forward?

Thank you guys!

You say Fiery Crash! I say Dynamic Entry!

*Increases Game Point Limit by 100*: Tau get two Crisis Suits and a Firewarrior. Imperial Guard get two infantry companies, artillery support, and APCs.

I would just hit it with blood for the blood God or tamiya clear red as normal. The red will be hard to see, but the glossy shine of the blood will give the impression of blood. That will be your most realistic option. If you want more of a cartoon look, you could stipple a bit of white where you want the blood to go, then stipple your blood over that. It will brighten the red.

Help me, Rhonda. HA!

In regards to the white, you could also put green base layer then red on top of that, and use Blood for the Blood God. I agree though, this is more for cartoon style. Blood realistically doesn't show off bright on black.
