Hey guys

playin in a tournament soon and wanna bring my beloved orks to the field!
rules of the tournament say you can only bring one cad+formation/superheavy,
so i decided to go with a normal cad instead of the orkurion, cause i feel it gives me more freedom in this case,
so heres my list so far:

Strat:
Warboss goes in a Trukk with the MANZ, Painboy and Mek, drives up the field with the boyz and tries to get to cc asap and soak damage while the Tankbustas go in the Battlewagons and stay at max range, while trying to get rid of any tanks, marine squads and so forth.

Thinking about maybe swapping a boyz squad for a bike squad, but not sure.
Also could be good to squeeze a Deffkopta in for objectives i guess.

List looks pretty good. Rokket spam can do a lot of damage. My only just suggestion is considering a different transport for the MAN+Warboss+painboy. A competitive player will most likely ignore boyz to start with, but if you put a trukk on the table and tell me its got your warboss in it. I'm going to go for that first and trap him on your side of the table. You have slow and purposeful which forbids you from running.

As I cheap option, I suggest a gunwagon from IA:8. Its a battle wagon, but is front 13 instead of 14 and is half the cost and small transport capacity. (I believe 10 models) This gives your boss a little more solid ride to get him around on the table.

looked up the gun wagon, seems like a really nice thing, have to play it sometime (maybe 3 of them with tankbustas/flash gitz/lootas w/e xD ).

Problem i have with this list is im restricted to one cad, so i cant split the army in 2 cads and get the gunwagon as heavy support choice... but nice idea man!

guess i either shoot wb and boyz up 24" if i start, or try to hide the trukk with wb if i go second...
other idea i have is give the wb a bike, no MANZ but instead a bike squad for him to ride in, even tho i really dig MANZ xD

I've done this to great effect. This is the tactic I would use. Although I usually have other shiney distracting units as well to draw attention away. Manz middles are one of my fave units to take.

I personally like bikes and deffkoptas because they are great at shooting( as far as ork shooting goes). Twinlinked makes them better then BS 2. And I like twinlinked rocket spam better then bs2 rocket spam. No to mention both units have 2 wounds and a big threat range due to those mobility. I like fast, durable, and realible units like that. Who knew orks would be better at shooting then chopping.
