I'm dead keen to start up 30k and Mechanicum just look so good! Can I please get some feedback on the list below:

It's always nice to see more Mechanicum Armys rise.

You asked for advices, so here we go:
The list looks a bit plain in my oppinon.
And which Knight will you take exacly? Cerastus are a type of Knight frame and not a specific class. (that would be Lancer, Archaron, Atrapos and Castigator) From calculating the points I guess you have a Knight Lancer.

But for the list itself:

Your Magos is painfully underequiped. First of all he needs a range weapon to make the best out of the Ordinatus upgrade. I highly recommend the Photontruster, 2 shots at BS5 lance armourbane are just to good and scary not to take.
Especialy as you don't have any other significant long range anti-tank/anti-TEQ weapons apart from the Castellax.
Next I highly recommend talking an Djinn-Skain and some Cyber occularis. Not only for the potential armywide interceptor rule but also for the ability to raise the BS of your troops were needed. Further you might concider to add an Abeyant and Machanitor for extra survivability and a powerfist for an extra attack and additional CC punch against armour.

As for the troop choices, you have 7 of them so one of them has to be scraped. (I would take one of the Plasma Thallaxi)

The Tech Thralls are a bit odd, what are they equiped with? (right now I assume you just bought them as "taxes" in order to get the Triaros for the Myrmidons.

Have you concidert to play Ordo Reductor (it would fit quiet nicely with this list), if this is the case I suggest Reductor Artillery and Krios Venator Tank as well as Ursarax for the next step for your army. If you plan on playing simple Taghmata, go for Krios Tanks and a Thanatar (classic) and some Vorax or Ursarax.

[b]Inline. With that many Thallaxii you could play Ordo Reductor too. Just take an Archmagos Reductor as HQ, drop the Knight and add some nasty or cheap tanks in.....

Drop the Castellax altogether, increase the Tech-thralls out 20 thralls. Don't be afraid to kit these guys out, as they can be surprisingly resilient and shooty.

I think two Thallax squads with five Thallax each, mounted in Triaros Armoured Conveyers, would be very survivable (Note to self, purchase some Triaros Armoured Conveyer and one additional Thallax...).

I think you need more anti-tank/ power armour weapons in your Myrmidon Secutors.

And as noted above, beef up your HQ.

For the 3000pts list, perhaps some Myrmidon Destructors and some Thantars.

I was worried about the HQ but now with this feedback, it sounds like he will be a beast!!

For the Knight, I meant an Atrapos, sorry. He seems like a really good knight with tank killing abilities and fits in heavily with the Mechanicum theme. With one person saying to drop him tho, I'm a bit conflicted now! I guess a Thanatar could do the trick.

Seeing as some points shifting will need to happen, I'll make 2 squads of 5 Thallax

Merging your Thallax into two big squads will save some points. They don't need a transport though, with all the jet packing they are going to be doing.

Your magos can hang out with some myrmidon destructors in a triarios and go cruising with the adsec for fun.

You can still use a knight in an Ordo list as a LoW choice.

And I know that Knights are possible in the OR, they just don´t fit very well in that list. As well as more than one unit of Automata.
I am a little Fluffnatic.

It could also be a good idea to drop the automata all together and expand more on the tank side. The Krios Venator is a real good tank hunter. For the LoW you could also take a big tank as by warmashine detachment. (well or if you plan to expand to 4000+ take the Ordinatus Ulator Minoris Macro Engine aka the Moses cannon.)

An Ordinatus Sagittar would be fun too. And cheaper...

Those secutors are crying for a triaros i recon. And some volkite instead of maxim bolters.
The 12" range of the maxima bolter is a problem to me, especially since the volkite charger has 3" extra range and +1 strength over it - totally worth dropping a shot, given that deflagrate may still give you the extra hit.

Also, played a triaros in proxy the other day and it is epic at ramming manouvers; getting a free haywire chart roll on top of the ramming attack is nicely 'unexpected'

Yeah, the Triaros is a very nasty battering ram, basicly.

As for people saying the Ordinatus engine is a good Lord of War - it is, definitely! But the Saggitar is fine; in my experience (playing a battery of 3!) the Ulator is not necessarily 375 points better in every situation, and in some specific targeting profiles is actually considerably worse.
