So I've noticed some of the weapons on some of the vehile kits are a really nice friction fit, and some are not. Some like the Missle Launchers on the Drop Pods, and Storm Bolters on the Razorbacks for example, just wanna flop around. I've tried Loktite tread locker, but that just melted the styrene eventually and essentially glued the piece in place.
Loktite 425 is supposed to be for plastics, but it's quite expensive. Anyone know if it works well for this sort of thing?
Anyone have any other ideas about firming these kinds of joints up?

Presumably you could just use a tiny bit of blu-tac, or other non-hardening putty to make the joint less loose?

Dunno about the loctite. I have in the past used magnets which usually have sufficient strength to hold the gun in place without drooping but still let you move it.
I have also created my own hinges with thin rod and brass sheet, if you slightly bend the rod then it'll create friction which tends to hold in in place.

I think they make pills for that. But if your game lasts more then 4 hours, you should see a doctor.
I’d recommend poster/blue tack as well. Should keep things in place in a non-destructive manner.
When building, you can also look into setting up magnets in pairs, not stacked, but in parallel. This way you get something to fight the angular force of the gun barrel pulling down. I’ve not found the need to do this personally, but have heard of others doing it.

I would second this advice.
I tend to get vinyl sheet with adhesive and attach it over top of the magnets since it may still turn from the smooth magnet surface OR recess the magnet slightly and use filler to cover it and rough it up a bit.

Blu tac! Of course! The Razorback Storm Bolter I'm working on now is glued together already, but maybe I can find a way to stuff som in there and fudge it. Thanks guys.
