Subject: Is this old Warhammer stuff worth anything?

Hi
Sorry if i have posted in the wrong area but i think this is the right place
I was given some old warhammer stuff by my cousin a long time ago and am now looking to get rid of them as they have been gathering dust for years.
I used to play with them when I was a kid but have never played Warhammer properly.
My plan was to take them down to the charity shop but i think it would be better if they went to someone who wanted them or could use them properly.
So what i want to know is:
Is it worth selling? will there be people who want to buy as it is old stuff
How much is it worth?
Where is the best place to sell it?
Should i just give it away?
I will list below all the figures and things in the box:
13 soldiers of the empire
8 high elves (4 archers, 4 spears)
8 beastmen
24 lizardmen (5 painted, 19 unpainted)
11 knights on horses
24 archers
32 little lizardmen archers
5 metal soldiers with gliders
1 battle book
2 cardboard houses
1 bretonnian general i think.
I have attached some images of all the figures
Thanks

If you really want to get rid of them, I suggest selling it to someone who plays WHFB or AoS, since the fantasy models can still be used in AoS. Or head over to the Dakka Swap Shop on the homepage and put your items up for sale there.
Hope this helps!
EDIT: Welcome to Dakka!

The metal guys on gliders are worth something, likely 20 - 50 pounds, maybe more if you get lucky.
The General might be worth something, but I would say the rest would altogether go for between 5 and 20 pounds.

Most of that is OOP and unpainted. It'll be worth loads. I think you could sell most of it for a very nice price on eBay. II would suggest selling the unpainted stuff as individual lots in their own units.
The brettonian General new in box and the bird men will be worth the most, followed by the Knights of the Realm.
The painted stuff won't be worth much, especially as they are inferior plastic kits compared to stuff still in production. I would consider lumping all the painted stuff into a job lot and starting the bidding low just to take it off your hands. The stuff I mentioned above is very valuable though.

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-) |

Well depend. I got 10 knights of the realm from sprue for 10 pounds and another deal where 63 bowmen and 10 knights of the realm where added to my collection for 20 quid ( mostly unpainted minis and knights of the realms still on sprues ).

I would look for a very good price on the Bretonnian general, special edition models go for quite a bit, especially when they are new in blister.

Yeah, the 5th ed Bretonian Plastic always goes for low prices on ebay. 6th ed Brets on the other hand always escape me. :(

So true. I saw 6th edition Brettonian battations go for 80-90 pounds, not one 6th edition Louen Leoncoeur has gone for 80-90 pounds on ebay. Brettonian models where so nicely done. Are they all Perry twins figs?

I took a risk on a seller with 0 reviews and got lucky with my 6th edition Louen Leoncoeur. The model is great, but a little small for a Hippogriff (I think the Island of Blood Griffin is the perfect size).
I think the Perry twins sculpted the 5th ed Bretonnians, but I do not know who sculpted the 6th ed ones.

You were not at much risk.
Buyers are the risk, for corrupt sellers there is the eBay arbitration which is biased in favour of buyers. It is relatively easy to get a refund as a buyer, even if it isnt merited.

I envy you. I only got some 5th ed. minis. The 6th ed. men at arms and bowmen are really nice, I am quite sad that I couldnt pick up any of them.
