I thought I would be good at answering this question but in all reality I'm such an Ork fan I've just collected everything they have put out for 16 years. Regardless of whether it was competitive. Every Ork kit is fun to put together, every ork unit is fun to play, for me anyway. If you're going for 90 boys, get one more box make it 100 and you have minimum boys to field Green Tide, which is a blast! I also really like the Gorkanaut formation from Hour of the Wolf "Krushin Krew" I think it's called. As the game goes on the Gorkanauts get more and more special rules, hatred, stomp yada yada. My 2 cents.

My experience with planes is quite limited as i've said before. Here are a few results:
1. Dakkajet. Turned up turn 3. Killed 2 space marines total. Got ignored. Wasn't worth it.
2. Dakkajet. Turned up turn 4. Wrecked a half-dead rhino. Killed a few marines. Got ignored. Wasn't worth it.
3. Dakkajet. Turned up turn 2. Killed sorc and a dog on WAAAGH! Than proceeded killing a few cultists here and there. Got ignored cause the enemy couldn't kill it. Was worth it.
4. Blitza bomber. Turned up turn 3, tried to bomb centurions but inflicted 0 wounds due to scatters and cover saves. Than i unintentionally broke the rules, landed it for the 2-d run where it managed to kill 1 centurion (it can't land as it doesn't have the rule, i just forgot about it). Didn't do anything else. Wasn't worth it.

Than i just stopped trying. If the dakkajet was at least 30% cheper - around 100 points with 3 supashootas and flyboss, i'd probably field one. But as is, it's just a dakka boat without much dakka for the points. It's gona likely wreck a rhino and kill a few marines across the whole game.
As for the bomber, it has more issues. If the enemy is really afraid of being bombed, he'll just spread out and gona make it jink the next turn or just kill it with some shooting - doesn't take much to kill av10 even with snapshots. If it doesn't get a rule change, it's current price is also around 100 - maybe lower.

That about sums up my experience with those flyers. THe only change is that I had a extremely memorable game where my Blitzabommer blew the crap out of a devastator squad, on the SM turn he shot 3 Missiles from that squad into my Flyer and killed it, and it crashed on top of the last remaining 4 models killing them

Beyond that though I have yet to make my points back with dakkajets or any other ork flyer. They just don't do enough damage to justify their insane cost. For the price of an upgraded Dakkajet I can get a Battlewagon with 4 Big Shootas and A Ram, AND it is more survivable with its AV14/12/10 Yeah it doesn't have enough dakka either, but it can at least transport my boyz into CC where they can die in glory.

Good info on the fliers, I will get one just because they look cool and want to test them against the people I play. I will magnetize all variants.
I was really hoping the boom bomb had ignore cover. I like the fact you can drop them on invisible targets but really hoped for ignore cover vs jinkers or other cover saves.

Now as for a warboss in mega armor, I dont see an official model on GW site but I have the warboss with shoota/claw from AOBR box.
Its on a 40mm base(terminator base) so I'm sure I can just use that and say its mega armored correct?

Also, do people just get meganobz and use one as a warboss with mega and same with the warbikes mob box and use the nob in the box as a warboss on bike?

I have almost ALWAYS played warbosses in one of two ways. Either was a biker boss or as a Mega armor boss. GW doesn't make a model for either of those

What I do is I use Ghaz as a warboss in MA or a Nob in MA to proxy and for the biker boss I just simply added some extra gubbinz to a Nob with a PK on a bike. Boom Instant Warboss.

If you don't mind spending premium dollars on your boss you can get Kromlech's Orc Warchief.

I think you could get away with it if you give him some knee pads (space marine shoulder pads?), armour on his arms (from the ork boyz kit?) and a more techy looking backpack (random gubbinz glued together)?

I love the Kromlech model's but I will just like to point out how big the Warchief is. I use a regular Juggernaut Orc for my Warboss and he towers above my Meganobz. The Warchief looks to rival the size of a dreadnought which while undoubtedly badass it also might be a bit too big.

Yeah I'm liking the Kromlechs orc jugg and chief. I want my warboss to be my biggest infantry unit, so the juggernaut is noticably bigger than the Megaarmored Nobz? Trying to decide if I want to get the Warchief or Juggernaut and I like the size of the warchief but it may be to big for games like you said.

The warchief from kromlech is HUGE. A standard marine is as tall as the warchiefs legs.

As it should be.

The only problem is that the Ghaz model is smaller. We need a new Ghaz , and decent rules as an MC.

I definetly would if I was getting an Ork army. It's such a cool model. If I were to start an Ork army, that's the model that would entice me to.
