Hello Dakka,
This is my first Blood Angels helmet-less head. I knew Blood Angels are paler than the average space marine, with the slightly more sunken in cheeks, but I think I went a bit overboard with that whole vampire motif and made him into the undead. Was considering giving the face a bit more color to make him more.....alive, but not sure. More color in the face or good the way it is? Sure doesn't help that his eye pupils aren't dotted yet, but they will be.
I put him next to my Ultramarine to compare.

Looks perfect to me, beautifully painted faces and I think it fits the ba spot on

Looks good to me too.
Will be more convicing when the pupils are done, the all white eyes are disturbing and give him a zombie aspect.

Thanks! Very much appreciate it.  I kept looking back at the GW site for reference and my BA was much more flush in the face but if that's passable as a BA and not Chaos, I'm good. Thanks again!

I think you'll be okay if you avoid giving them black hair. The blondeness I feel offsets the vampire pallor nicely.

Agreed. GW paints them all blonde or fairer-haired be it light brown, white, blonde, etc. I was going to go with a dark color but figured it would make the face even paler. Thanks!
