I would probably just forfeit. There's no reason to take that on with BA. I don't own the models to hurt that.

My first game against BA I got tabled, just FYI. And I wouldn't make you forfeit a game! I'd Facebook or text you ahead of time and ask to play, and if you said no or wanted help to list tailor I'd be happy! I don't force people to play my Ordinatus engines.

List tailoring is bad.

Define list tailoring. If you play against the same four lists every week and you decide to by some units that can compete with those four lists, you aren't list tailoring, you are being smart.

2000 Khorne Bloodbound (Skullfiend Tribe- Aqshy)
1000 Tzeentch Arcanites (Pyrofane Cult - Hysh) in progress
2000 Slaves to Darkness (Ravagers)

That's still list tailoring. Although, I guess if your opponents really never change their lists, the temptation would grow and grow.

Not really list tailoring. Pre-grav the best way to pop vehicles was s10 or melta. So I bought up a Spartan and filled it with death company and got the ceramite upgrade. It was fun chasing people around the table with a land raider that wouldn't die. Then of course grav happened :(

Gauss excels the less vehicles you have, that way they can focus fire on them.

And pre-grav (6th ed marines) D weapons were only found in apoc. Haywire was pretty much only fire-warriors and certain DE/Eldar squads.

If you are arranging a game ahead of time, I don't think it is bad.

I won't force people to play a standard TAC list against my Ordinatus battery. That sounds like a good way to ruin their fun.
