Great stuff on Catachan home-world. My favorite is the spiker. It is a plant that injects victims with a mutagen that turns them into another spiker plant. Lots of ridiculous stuff on that planet.

Active armies, still collecting and painting First and greatest love - Orks, Orks, and more Orks largest pile of shame, so many tanks unassembled most complete and painted beautiful models, couldn't resist the swarm will consume all
Armies in disrepair: nothing new since 5th edition oh how I want to revive, but mostly old fantasy demons and some glorious Soul Grinders in need of love

The Catachan Facehugger ofc, a dangerous creature that spends most of it's time immobile posing as a nice soft towel. If you wipe your face with it you die.

Or the Catachan Devil, a fearsome lizard/insectoid that can wade through whole platoons of men. Except Sgt Harker - he reportedly wanted some Catachan Devil boots and went out to get some, but even after killing 6-7 of them he found none with boots. He was very disappointed.

Anything from Catachan.

And the gene-engineered horses of the Death Riders look pretty kick-ass.

This.

Especially the Catachan Barking Toad. A species which has come up with an evolved defence mechanism so ridiculously over the top nothing on Catachan deliberately tries to eat one.

Yeah, it's the best creature. Especially when you look at the blast radius of the Greater Toad, which will flatten an area several miles across.

The 1st edition Rogue Trader rulebook gives us man-eating squirrels, clams, trees and facecloths as Spetulhu has already described.

From a visual point of view, I always had a soft spot for these:

This thread made me want to read up on Catachan wild life, I sure do love the older 40k lore that is intended to be fun.
