So, I was just sitting here thinking, And trying to think of what army or armies have a good variety of diferent units, From the smaller (In strength) guys who shoot or punch, To the big strong guys who can punch like a truck, The slow moving wall to the fast lighting strike guys.

Codex Space Marines gets my vote. It literally does everything. Hell Space Marine armies can swarm with the best of them. :/

Nids can truly be built all shooty/ all melee, horde/ all mc. I love them but you won't win nearly as many games as you would with the marines or eldar listed.

Necrons. Tomb Blades, Destroyers, Warriors, Praetorians, even Wraiths for good assault choices. They're the only army that genuinely can represent everything at top tier. Nearly everything else is closer to spamming a single strength until you get the result. AdMech is a close second, but they miss out on a really fast option and aren't known for their close combat.

I do love the Tyranid models, They are awesome. And I dont realy like playing the top tier armies much since nobody enjoys facing them. My gaming group is rather low tier currently (Dark Eldar, Imperial Guard, Tyranids, Chaos Marines, Chaos daemons and Khorne Daemon Kin are the most common armies I face)

Right now, Eldar have the best individual units codex-wise. Space Marines units aren't individually as good as Eldar, but they still have enough good units and the sheer bewildering variety of units/formations that imho puts them on an equal footing.
After that, I would say Necrons and Tau, in that order. This is assuming you are referring to mono-codex armies.

I wouldent realy say Tau have any punchy guys, Much less strong punchy guys, they only got shooty guys.. Even their "punchy" guys, the Kroot, Have been changed to be worthless at punching things and are now short range snipers instead.

Idk, tau can be punchy; just don't give the suits any weapons and a pen chip on the shas'vre.

Nids are the first thought in my head. And if you like bugs, they have one of the coolest model ranges out there!!

Dark Eldar, with Incubi as standard infantry, Grotesques as really powerful large infantry and the Talos is one of the better MC's in close combat.

I'd say bugs, marines or to a lesser extent, dark eldar.
I'd say necrons, but I can't think of anyone who likes playing an army that has basic troops that are nearly impossible to get off of an objective. Not to mention all the other silly, broken crap in that dex.
Being that your meta consists primarily "have not" dexes, Blood Angels, Bugs, Dark Eldar and even Marines are all decent choices.

Dark Eldar have big punchy guys in Grotesques and Talos's, both of which are absolute beasts in melee. They have small shooty guys in Kabalite warriors, which are cheap, and have poisoned shots, and can take amazing transports. They have fast melee units in Reavers and Beastmaster Packs, They have some good deepstriking anti-tank with heatlance scourges, and decent gunboats in Ravagers.
They have lots of options, but they're outdone by craftworlds sadly.

Space Wolves can fit the bill with their Grey Hunters, Long Fangs, and Land Speeders being the more shooting focused units while things like Thunderwolf Cavalry and Wulfen who hit like a red painted Battlewagon without brakes. They also have medium weight melee hitters with their Blood/Skyclaws who deliver Ork numbers of S4 of melee attacks while being relatively cheap in points. Space Wolves also can play nicely with weaker codexes if you minimize the number of TWC, keeping the Wulfen in your model case, and avoid making giant psychic powered deathstars.

CSM. You can swarm the enemy with cultist mobs or Zombies (who come back with a new formation), support those with Marines and Terminators and you also have Daemon Princes, characters and Maulerfiends to hit hard. Oblits and FW for fire support.

Orks have all that. Mobs of boys can form a very strong Green Tide of choppy doom for most things they encounter. Killa Kans and Deff Dreads look cool on the table and can be pretty choppy. Bikers can launch in CC quickly and can have a somewhat difficult to deal with T5 and Jink/Turboboost. Meganobs are CC beasts and somewhat tough to kill with 2+ armor save and 2 wounds. Painboys can buff huge units of boyz with FNP (including the 100+ model Green Tide formation from the Ghazghkull supplement). Stormboyz are fun and fluffy fast attack that can be quite choppy when directed at an appropriate target. Battlewagons can deliver your Meganobs and offer some amount of firepower. Trukks are easy to pop but if you mechanize your whole list it can be hard to stop them all,and they give great mobility.
TLDR: Lots of different ways to run an Ork army. Not super competitive but they are super fun and fluffy.
