Hey all, putting together some Fists for myself in-between working commissions. Thought you guys might enjoy. Each group gets 1 day to completely finish, so I end up rushing to finish some gak, but overall i'm happy with the result.

Tacticool Marines

Devastators

Contemptor Dreadnought

They look great. Gritty and well painted. Still think the plastic Contemptor sucks, but you've made it look as good as it can without modding it. Well done!

Maybe put this in the Showcase thread. Great Work BTW.

awesome work!

love the weathering!

Is this really your 7th tactical squad or did you just use the number for no particular reason?

Oh I agree, I'm not a fan of the overall look of the model, but it came in the kit and he kinda served as my test model for weathering and colors. He did his duty

I think that the Imperial Fists are the 7th legion. I'm using the FW transfer sheet and there's a bunch of VII's on there. Even if that isn't it, I like the way it looks, haha

The army is still WIP so I'll continuously update this thread and then transfer it over to there when it's complete. Thanks for the compliments, keeps me motivated

Nice yellow.

Yellow is difficult and yet this is very yellow.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

I believe dark angels are the first legion.

Aeri, make it stand out by putting it in Red.. a quiet historical military reference.

Nice captain. Also fun for converting if you have a spare.

The freehand sigil is phenomenal, as is the yellow.

Really nicely done.

Your yellows really are exemplary. But does the Dreadnought's banner detail say Von Butts on it?

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

yea, couldn't think of a name for him so I used my Dark Souls character name "Baron von Butts"

I'm sure he's a great inspiration on the battlefield. A bulwark in which the Imperial Fists find true strength.

Command Squad

Razorback

Rhino

Wonderful paintwork. Personally have a huge dislike for cork bases, but I understand a load of people love them. I feel like the aquila on the Rhino is a bit clean/shiny compared to everything else...that's about the only thing I can pick out!

not a huge fan of cork bases either, but it's significantly cheaper and less time consuming than other options, so i went for it. As for the aquila, I agree. Maybe they just get out and shine that baby up

Finished up the vehicles that I own, I think I need some Rhinos and a Drop Pod, but i'll wait to buy them until after I move (and possibly wait until my wife goes on deployment)

Land Raider

Predator (Think I'm going to do OSL purple on the lascannons at some point, but i'll probably do the entire army at once, so they stay unpainted for now)
