So, I dont know if this is the right place for this topic but.. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good way to transport Tau suits to the gaming area? From Stealth Suits all the way up to a Stormsurge. Do they fit in a regular GW case? Does anyone have any other sugestions on how to transport them?

In a standard GW infantry foam insert, cut away every other long piece to make 12 rectangles, and 4 normal size ones in the insert. Do it again, and you have good storage for crisis and magnetized broadsides.

I wasn’t sure, so hit their website to check. But it looks like GW only sells their zig-zag foam these days. Which should work reasonably well to transport suits (from what I've seen discussed, I have neither tau, or the GW case)

I’m a big fan or KR Multicase. They should have a decent selection of custom foam for Tau.

Battlefoam is my recommendation. I've been using them for years. They have army specific foam, pluck foam & you can have them create custom trays for you, though that can get expensive if you're doing more than one or two trays.

I use an old cardboard laptop postage case, with the models sandwiched between 2 layers of eggbox type foam. Haven't tried a really big model - they tend to either go in a monster case, or in a cardboard box with loose foam chips.

KR Multicase, all the way.

Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.

Coincidentally I just purchased new KR multicase foam for my tau army.

Below are the foam trays I purchased to fit into my existing KR kaiser 1 case:

1x IG13 - fits 8x new crisis suits on 50mm bases
1x TA29 - fits 6x XV88 Broadside Battlesuits, but I'm going to cut one slot slightly larger so I can lay my commander in it sideways since he is tall
2x TA14 - each of these trays fits 21 drones, so I can fit 42 in total. But since I have only 32 drones, I will also put some of my stealth suits in the extra space

I also purcahsed an additional cardboard case with foam (its half the size of the case above and will go into my backpack):

1x TA28 (fits 2x tau riptides)

My entire 1850 army will fit into the kaiser 1 case slung over my should and my backpack easily (including my work laptop and rule books):

1x commander
10x crisis suits
3x broadsides
3x stealth suits
2x riptide
32x drones

The other thing I like about KR is that it doesn't scream warhammer. When I'm on the subway people will just think I have some tools/electronics/photography equipment in my bag. Its just a plain black utility bag with a small KR logo. Keep in mind, I designed my army purposely to fit into a relatively compact case and my backpack. If you don't mind carrying around a larger bag then there are options that could easily fit 2-3x the figures while still being relatively easy to transport without a car.
