Any general tips for mashing a box of Fire Warriors and a box of Guardsmen together to make Fire Warrior and Breacher Gue'Vesa?

Well easiest way would be to just give Cadian models Pulse weaponary, and maybe the odd shoulder pad here and there.

Easier said than done thanks to Pulse weapons having a bullpup configuration. Definitely possible if you know how, but prepare for heavy conversion work.

The easier approach would be to cut the Tau arms off at the hand and stick them to the Cadian arms, or go by this example, and add the main body of the Pulse Weapon to a Lasgun Stock:



Outside of the weapons, you don't need to do anything else - Gue'vesa don't wear Tau Composite armour, so you can keep the standard Cadian armour as it is.

Might give them shoulderpads to tie into the rest of the army, but the Cadians with modified lasrifles with the core of the barrel and such from the pulse rifles added for flavour.

It might be harder to do with pulse carbines, but not impossible, it's a case of where to cut and what to join it to.

I would say to do it from the Tau hand connected to the Cadian arm - that keeps the rest of the stock intact

Tau only have four fingers, though, don't they?
