i'll be participating in a small tournament soon. and want to bring my eldar, mainly because all the models are finished and I want to show them of, however they are a bit cheesy.

there will be more gifted players than me competing, so I still don't think i'll win.

Well, its a nice list.

But you need to be aware that the Serpents will be the primary targets during the first two rounds. I'd squeeze in another Serpent with Guardian Defenders. But its just me.

Hey dinges643, I really like your use of wraithguard! Here are some tips about what I would do to make your list tournament ready.

-Drop the Wraithlord; He looks super cool, but he's really bad when it comes to playing on the table top.

- The Iyanden supplement is still playable with the most recent codex, so if you used it for your main CAD then your wraithguard would count as troops. The only drawback is that you would have to drop the spiritstone of anathlan on your farseer.

With the points left over from your wraithlord I would bring a spiritseer, upgrade your wave serpents with either a ghostwalk matrix or a holofield. Any points beyond that should be spent on warp spiders.

I think you should drop the wraithlord and the farseer to take eldrad. Its really sick to scout up the d flamers 12 inches then turn 1 move 6, get out, and remove 2 units from the board.

Rest of the list is ok. I am not sure I like 1 crimson hunter and would try to get 2 in or just don't take them. 1 is too fragile.

Well, I'd keep trying your list.

However, a WL can be a liability. He's very slow and his damage output is rather low.

thanx, wraithguard usually don't get a lot of love (understandably).
I realy like the wraithlord. its cool and the two missile launchers give a little extra skyfire. it hardly gets any attention during a game so I usually just plant it on an objective, shoot stuff and die hard.
I don't own any more warpspiders, so that's a nogo. maybe swooping hawks.

own only one (at the moment)
might use eldrad next time. sounds like fun.

had a test of the list against a nid player.

he fielded a couple of dakka flyrants, carnifexen a tervigon and a mc that gave a coversave buf and some other small stuff and 3 mawlocs.

I had first turn and made the flyrants my priority destroyed one.
his first turn he glanced my wave serpents and destroyed two bikes (the rest was cowardly out of range, the eldar way ;-))
my second turn all my reserves came (warp spiders and crimson hunter) it took quit a lot of fire power to wound the tyrant and it eventually died because of a failed grounding test.

after that it was al but over.

I think I got lucky having first turn, but the list is pretty powerfull.

game one:

matchup against another eldar player, with mainly swooping hawks, warpspiders and dire avengers.
his warpspiders realy hurt me. and I lost 14-6

game two:

matchup against an imperial guard player, I had first turn and started the three turn shooting gallery won 17-3

game three:

matchup against space marines. the skyhammer formation. I got my ass thoroughly handed to me, gravgun centurions and devastators took out my wraithlord and wraithknight, melta's crippled my waveserpents.
instead of fleeing with my jetbikes, I lingered and lost almost everything. really needed reserves that did not come. and I lost 20-0

all in all I still had fun, battles were played in good spirits and I learned a lot.
