There was only a link in this thread to this list which was published in the army list forum to avoid spam. Probably just stupid of me. I can always just alter my current list and say feth you chaos it was just propaganda. In the WW2 they had "too easily scripted false tactical information" too.
Anyways, the list below is the one I gave last week.
Baal strike force
Sanguinary priest + jump pack + valour's edge + crown angelic >> AP2 sword & -2 Ld Fear

I'd demech him quickly but try to protect your sternguard as much as possible. Actually, I'd probably try to melta a helbrute and use the lascannons on the chose, because you don't want anything close to them.
I'd probably try to frag the raptors off the table as well. Get him down to just foot troops as quickly as possible.

What do you think, need for panicing? All the rerolling wich the army wide hatred against SM seems fierce, also the double chaos boons every round.. Don't forget the army wide obsec.
I would love to play against that list with my BAs. I've been fighting the Maelstrom of Gore, the best result so far was a tie because I allied in Centurions.

TH/SS terminators will stop all of this save the Bezerkers.(who they will still stomp but might put out a decent number of wounds first)

Biggest list spam ever... hope you guys endure. I was walking the dog and wondered about options B & C. B was my initial and it would be straight from the new Angel's blade supplement. C would be more dakka list against the warband. Now that I read Exergy's suggestion about assault terminators I'll throw a third option for list alteration (D). And AFAIK you can have more than one relic with your BA model, you just can't have a duplicate in your army list entry.
Any of these list rock anyone's boat against the upcoming enemy? Probably have to start painting tomorrow to get everything done in time but last minutes panic is the best motivator for me anyways. The original above will be the option A.

These are the lists I used in my games aganst Maelstrom of Gore
I barely could spend some money to get me one three man unit of bikes. But is three enough to even tease. How would I even kit the sgt, combi-grav or PW? If I only get one, same to run sternguard with 5 combi-gravs?
Anyone willing to comment on the list options above, is there a list you think could give the best opposition to the warband?
Beating Kharn or a CSM Lord with a daemon weapon is simple. Just shoot the hell out of them. If they make it into combat, you're gonna be in for a world of pain. Try to make sure you move your other units away from the combat. Let them wipe out your unit then bring them down with massed fire. Hell, even lasguns and stubbers can do the trick if there's enough of them.
Once he gets close just block him up with a cheap chaffy unit every turn.
Let your opponent get his fun of Kharn killing stuff. Preferably try lead him away from anything of strategic value.
When people take a big boss I find this to be a good strategy. They get caught up in killing stuff with the boss they pay less attention to completing the actual mission.

About grav bikers. If I get *one* box I'd like to ask for some kitting tips.
Naturally the two marine bikers get the grav gun, but for the sergeant:
Is the following too expensive? combi-grav & lightning claw?
Was thinking that it the unit will most likely get charged eventually if the happen to survive the folly of boltgun fire. I play mainly against chaos. With veteran upgrade and the following kit the three man bike squad costs a ton (118p). I will use a human head, so I could easily use it with or without the sergeant upgade. Still wysiwyg gives the expensive 15p LC.
So like asked above, too expensive kitting? Any recommendations using the single box SM bikers as BA?
I'm so eager to try grav next fight so I build a grav gun tactical marine yesterday for 10man tac squad in a rhino with grav gun, combi-grav and heavy flamer for obtaining midfield objectives while combat squading. Any point using this?

The question was how to kit a three man squad. Problem I found with san priest biker is that do I need to buy a san priest to get the hand with the narthecium arm. I got a spare chalice from stern box, but can't see any other way to kitbash a sang priest biker other than get that arm. Or how picky people are usually with wysiwyg?

so bikers are the way to go for fun, fast and efficiency.
That captain and sanguinary priest attached to a bike squad doesn't actually sound that bad with lil' less than 400 point mini-star.
With limited budget, am I correct that moneywise best bargain is to get that 5 biker deathwatch biker box and an attack bike to do the mini-star above. This costs total of 61,20€ from to local GW store. (2 3man SM bike boxes and an attack bike costs 74,70€)
This arouses additional questions again, kitting the priest and captain. Intuitive mini-star without any experience with bikers ever would bike something like:
Captain + bike + artificer armour + valour's edge at 150p
Sanguinary priest + bike + bolt pistol at 81p
5man bike squad + 2x grav gun + combi-grav + attack bike with multi-melta at 158p
This the way to experience bikes "correctly"?
Yesterday found the motivation to start painting again, 18 marines and two dread under the brush. One color a day! My back is already wrecked from the last nights efforts.. Well this game is awesome anyways!
Literally any gun works. Bolters and Assault cannons to kill with volume of fire, ML lascannons etc can ID him, grav and melta can stop his transport.
You need to bring guns, any will do, then depending on the tactical situation, turn some or all of those guns onto Kharn. If hes in a box, start with box poppers, then apply volume of fire. No box? No problem, just skip step one. I'm really unsure of what the tactical answer is here besides 100 ways to vary the same answer. No EW, poor invuln save, power armor, no real distance threat to speak of, and in a small enough point game where he is likely to be the primary baddie in the army. Just. Shoot. with. guns.

This threads last posts haven't actually been on the thread's original title, but somehow I've thought that still this is best place to ask smaller questions which all have aroused from the original thread's idea. That's the reason why I haven't started new threads..
Countering the Kharn with my already announced list will have shooty tactics yes.
Should I just change the thread title afterwards to better describe ongoing discussion? Correct name would be more like "Newbie Xirax's blood angels, how to evolve.." Seems that I had an misunderstanding that discussion participants also were aware of this processing. I'm finnish so I might just have interpret you wrong.
..But back to continue the discussion where it has taken me. Storm shield on captain.. I was thinking that, but what other upgrades you would give him them, no weapons? Doesn't the one hand need to be on the throttle? Atleast the model would look weird if both hands were off the bike.
