Hello I'm looking to make a Cypher miniature because the official one is not as cool as I would love him to do.

Suggestions? Do you know any Alternative model for him?

What do you not find cool about the model?

Would you prefer a model without robes? A bit bigger? Not a fan of metal / finecast?

I'm not particaularly aware of any company that does a "counts as" for him, but maybe with a bit more info someone might have a suggestion?

To me its pose isn't the best, also it feels kinda oldish and I'm not a fan of oldhammer. I found a kitbashed model a while ago that I loved.

There isn't really a direct alternative, you would have to kitbash.

Your example is based off the Limited Edition Chaplain Seraphicus who came with the initial run of Dark Vengeance + a couple of Raptor pistols and a DA robed head.

I also kitbashed my own Cypher. The GW one was never that great and hasn't gotten better with time.

I love the old Cypher model.

Glad you like it.

Body and head are from the Dark Angels Veteran Squad, arms are Mk IV from Forgeworld, Umbra pattern bolt pistol (also Forgeworld), Plasma pistol and shoulder pads from the Vanguard kit, sword from the Black Templar upgrade sprue, original Cypher backpack (sold seperately by GW) and a chain from a hobby store, wrapped around the sword.
