They should either put people out of their misery and squat them or produce some plastic kits.

Sadly I think the formers more likely.

2003 - wow. Since then I have:

Left school. Attended and completed university. Had more jobs than you can shake a stick at. Had a child. Got married. Moved house many times. Seperated. Had a two-year relationship. Started a new relationship. Seen my child grow, start school, and learn to read, and write, and all that jazz.

I have literally grown a whole new wargamer in the time since Sisters of Battle last had a new model.

In the name of the God-Emperor of Humanity!

Doesn't time fly? I probably couldn't speak in full sentences when the last Sisters models were released

Rings a few alarm bells if you ask me about the future of SoB...

I do my best to hold faith in the Emperor too

Still, the last time I saw Sisters of Battle in White Dwarf (and in the eye of GW) it was when Dreadfleet was released

Sisters of Battle are actually older than some of the players playing them I'd imagine.

Old Ladies Of Battle

GW...please release "Crones of Battle"...ohhh, please do it!

With Cruelus De Vil as Matriarch, and Kroot Hounds with white skin and black spots in the same box. 101 of those.

Yes...100x yes.

101x yes

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

Dreadfleet! Now there's a name I've not heard in a long time...

Perhaps for good reason - that game faded into obscurity so fast, probably because it was limited edition. Never got round to playing it

Still, if my memory serves me correctly, they chucked in a couple of unique Sisters of Battle missions to use in 40k towards the back of the magazine; there was a pretty cool one about defending a shrine against an attacker, which gave bonuses to nearby Sisters unless it was "defiled" by their opponent if they got in base contact with it.

That would have been a mission I would have played, if I owned any Sisters, or even knew anyone with Sisters.

Wow, when you put that into perspective, it's both impressing (for you) and depressing (for the Sisters)!

Good news you can still buy dreadfleet from numerous places at a hefty discount because despite being limited edition it never got close to selling out.

I am quite hopeful with the Warhammer TV soundbite of "Plastic Sisters?" that we will see them some time before 2020.
