Post what box set you'd like to see! What would they contain? Who would they be done by? How much will it cost?

My Idea:
Battle for Macragge, Forgeworld, huge diorama centrepiece with Calgar and the Hive Tyrant fighting, special rules for the doomed 1st Company, Captain Fabian rules, pre-tyranid post-deathwatch Cassius, about £1000 in total (i'd pay that)

I would love to see a troop + transport combo for the each faction at a discount.

Like Tac marines + drop pod or rhino

Cadian Infantry Platoon Box- includes:

5X Sergeants
45X Guardsmen
1X Platoon Command Squad
3X Heavy Weapons Teams
3X Sentinels/Armoured Sentinels
Various special weapons options on sprues

Basically the boxset would be everything you need for an Emperors Shield Infantry Platoon. This could fit easily into smaller lists and with the special weapon options, would make for a great starter army.

Individually this would be priced at about $300.00, but if it got 33% off like strike force ultima it would be $200.00 which I think would be a fair price.

im not sure what the conversion is for pounds to USD, but i would figure 60 bucks for tac marines and a drop pod or rhino

Tacs are £25 and Pods are £22.50, which adds up to 47.50.
The 7.50 savings there can buy you Datacards for Space Marines.

I’d like to see some of the formations in boxes with a discount, not just a 1-click bundle on the webstore.

Something like the Suppression Force. 2 Whirlwinds and a Land Speeder. Price wise, something like that should probably be the speeder tossed in for free.

Bundeling transports with their squad is another good idea. Buy the squad, get the ride half-off.

More start collecting boxes is always a good thing as well. Most armies have multiple ways to build, support that.

Mega armor or bike warboss box set. Or honestly, any standalone warboss set would be nice. There's plenty of options available for all of the above, honestly, but it would be nice to see GWs official take on it.

I support the idea of more Start Collecting boxes, even within a single faction.

Some are really coaxing you into certain directions, like the Eldar one for example. Why (except for the lack of plastics versus finecast, of course) isn't there a "Start Collecting; Eldar Aspect Warriors" box (with maybe one squad of each aspect warrior type). Or a "Start Collecting; Eldar Militia" with one Warlock, a squad of Eldar Guardians and either a Wave Serpent, or a single Eldar Support weapon.
The same can be said about the Tyranids box. I want Termagaunts and Hormagaunts with Tyranid Warriors. As a start of a Tyranid horde army (whether that is a viable army or not) a Start Collecting box with ground gaunts instead of Gargoyles would be welcome.

Wratihhost box set: 10 Wraithguard + 1 Wraithlord + 1 plastic Spiritseer. All the cost of just the WG & WL (so the Spiritseer would be free)

Guardsmen v eldar, with a roll out mat and some plastic scenery oh and a reaver titan all for £50...

If that can't be done I want battle fleet gothic with a roll out mat.

I think we'll see more Start Collecting boxes. However it would be nice to see a larger Battle Force box return for the main armies --- with a similar discount to the Start Collecting boxes. Basically "the next step". You buy the Start Collecting box for $85 (read: $65) and then follow it up with a $150-ish full Battle Force at a similar discount ---- include the other plastic kits which aren't in the Start Collecting boxes.

Eldar box could then be say Guardians + Dire Avengers + War Walker, + Vyper, etc. Make sure the Battle Force is a saving of 10-25% like the Start Collecting boxes and you'll score plenty of sales I'd guess. Keep it mid-high $100's so you don't get into the $200+ sticker shock range.

Seconded. Would be a nice start for a Llyanden Ghost Warrior army.

I would love to see a Tau Auxiliaries box, with Kroot, Vespid, Kroot Hounds, and a Kroot Ox (with a reasonable "Start Collecting" level of cost discount).

I also would love to see a Tau "Forward Recon" Start Collecting box, with a Piranha, a stealth suit squad, pathfinders, and/or Sniper Drone squads.


Generally speaking, I'd like to see more thematic Start Collecting box sets for all factions.

I would love to see a generic cultist box. I love the chaos cultists and the new genestealer cult models. But I would like some variety. Maybe the models are based on what typical imperial citizens would look like: farmers, hive dwellers, miners, scribes, shop keeps, etc. It would be wonderful to be able to use a kit like that to mix and match with the other human kits for a wider variety of human life in 40k/30k.

You know how they made those Dark Vengeance boxes that aimed to build off of the forces in the box? I'd like to see a second wave of boxes aimed at building a bigger force for players that have bought the Start Collecting! Boxes. Something to address the flaws in the units in the box.

So, say for CSM the second box would have a Landraider, Bikers and maybe Havocs (Because I think the Start Collecting! CSM box lacks speed and ranged firepower).
Or for Orks the box would have more Boyz, a Trukk, and Mek Gunz? Meganobz? (I also think it's cool to have big 'centerpiece' type unit, hence the Meganobz)

Including a Troupe, Shadowseer and a pair of Skyweavers. We need more formations that don't have Voidweaver tax.

I'd like a Start Collecting! Grey Knights box. Strike squad, Dreadknight, and a new plastic HQ in there.

If we're talking about the first then I think every faction deserves a start collecting box. Even if that means that GW has got to go full plastic (which they should be doing anyway).

If we're talking about the second then I'd like to see new plastic standard infantry kits for both cadians and catachans. Each one would contain ten guardsmen, with a vox caster, one of each kind of special weapon, a demo charge, all sergeant options and the option to arm them with either lasguns or shotguns. You can make Conscripts, Infantry and Vets all from one box. And each one would be 100% compatible with their respective command squad set too.

Oh, and the shotguns from this hypothetical catachan kit would be the exact same type as used by Iron Hand. Because that's cool looking.

Multi part plastic kits for all the various Imperial Guard regiments, Cadians, Catachans, Vallhalans, Mordians etc

I'm sure they'd sell in sufficient numbers to make them worthwhile, and would probably get a few more interested in the Imperial Guard

I agree. Even if they weren't willing to do them in plastic, maybe forge world could do do them in resin. Either way, they should all be brought back.
