Hey all,

In my many trades on this site and others, I've discovered I have a number of Deathwing Terminators from what I believe is this box set:

It's inspired me to put together an "Oldhammer" Dark Angels in the 90s style, complete with the old faux Native American iconography that they've since dropped. I want to make it very close to canonical studio paint schemes from the early 90s.

The problem is, I only own the 4th and 6th edition Dark Angels codecies (which only picture later plastic Terminators), and I've only been able to dig up a handful of Deathwing reference photos from around the net:

To my knowledge, the reference photos I want are not commercially available anymore. I imagine they are only in 20+ year old codecies and White Dwarf issues. Does anyone have Deathwing reference photos from the "oldhammer" era?

Yeah it uh....it uhhhhh. it was a weird time for the deathwing back then. Would much rather have seen that motif done as a White scare off shoot, would have been taken better. IMO

Are the models in the box set in the original post too late in time for 'Native American motif' Dark Angels? Was that bit of fluff limited to the Rogue Trader era? Are there older Deathwing models than those posted above?

EDIT: Also, thank you for the link. That Kev Walker art is fantastic.

Well if you can manage to find old school terminators then thats what you would want for the Indian theme they had.

And the terminators you are looking for are these ugly bastards

if my GW trivia serves me correctly.

Space hulk was the original introduction of terminators and because of their demand because people liked them, they put them in their own box, and the deathwing came after.
