at maxim width the hangar bay is 4 walls wide less a little at the outer edges, so maybe 35cm, and the height if built 3 walls high would be 16. cm cm less a bit top and bottom - 12-13cm say.
So yes the at 22 x 8 the Peregrine Y2K Lightfreighter will fit with easy. Just a shame it'll be so expensive to buy outside of Australia because of shipping.

My mate went in for their first SciFi set and I went i for their Fantasy set.
I can not speak highly enough for this stuff, I bought 4 sets of the fantasy and lay out 4'x4' dungeons for full RPG sessions. It is interesting that they have moved away from the ramp, that was a bit fiddly, however the ramps give the 3d feel to the terrain.
We use my fantasy terrain for Mordheim quite a lot as well.
I would take their advice about using superglue to edge the bits where the clips and other features slide in, over time they will wear out and for the investment of dollars you put into this stuff you want it lasting for years. I tend to pack down my fantasy terrain after use as i dont want to keep static layouts. I learnt after a few uses that it was easier to pack it all the way down rather than try and keep sections to reuse as I have so much it is hard to track where certain pre-built sections are. But the benifit of this appraoch is that I get to use my imagine each time I set up a city scape for Mordheim or a dungeon for RPGing
If you get a lot of this you will also need package cases, easy enough to buy at your local hardware store.
Overall I give this a five out five for a kick starter, they are very generous with their stretch goals, communicate extremely well, have a solid business plan and attention to detail and deliver on time.

Ramps were a great idea for fantasy and the 1. "space station" sci-fi.
It doesnt really fit into what they want to achive at the moment. It's just more "realistic" this way.

I think you could use their Urban Apocalypse terrain for that. Just buy the shanty town sections.
Here's the finished kickstarter but I think they also sell on their main site:

Here's their shop for that bit:

The new Outlander pledge (3 outpost buildings, a geodesic dome and a watchtower, with added scatter items such as crates and consoles) is now unlocked.
Battle Systems have released an excellent (if long) video in which Colin talks about how the Outlander and Sci-Fi 2 pledges integrate including one way to transition from one to the other across one continuous playing area, looks at graphics and design compatibility between the urban apocolypse shanty sets from last year and the sci-fi 2, and even how to use the original ramped sci-fi 1 set with the new set. He investigates things you can do with some of the old scatter items within the new environment, and also looks at game movement across the mats. All well worth a watch.
Link to the video is at the top of the latest update.

Indeed they do - We've unlocked a new mat texture - the Galactic mat (as yet unseen, but given the creator's track record, we can be sure it will look insane), and Battle Systems have added a new outpost wall sheet to the buyable add-ons, so now you can expand those outpost buildings as much as you like, or clad the exterior of a huge base in external walls to create a transition between the base and the barren wasteland outside, more free scatter is coming in the guise of more crates, another CO2 scrubber, and a couple of console operator's chairs, and then there's the detention cells on the horizon. It comes with cell doors, lockers (of two different types) and bunks.
Damn that looks good. It'll make for a great objective, lead your rescue party through the base, deactivate the cell forecefields and escape with the prisoners perhaps. Or simply use the doors within longer corridors as added security to slow a raiding party down. Maybe use the lockers and beds elsewhere to depict a barracks room. Even use 4 detention cell doors in a square, in the centre of a laboratory room, to "cage" some particularly nasty alien ? And yes, of course, the bits with the laser beams are removable.
The cardboard just keeps coming !

Indeed it's a cracking deal.
Effectively, with a single core set, whether ultrafuturistic shiny Galactic, the more grungy and industrial Frontier or the stand alone buildings of Outlands, you can fill a 2x2 table with insane density and to 2 or 3 levels comfortably, and that'll cost just £78 (plus shipping depending on where you are). Even if that's all you got, I'd recommend looking at a second mat, since you could spread that one pledge out across a 4x2 and it would still look awesome. Add in a few extras, and you could fill another mat. 2 sets will easily fill 4 mats, or even 6 with add-ons. You can blend one set into another and mix the styles across the table so you're fighting your way across a wasteland scattered with buildings and into a huge base with an enormous docking back full of space ships, and then on through all the various parts of a base from engineering to officers quarters. You can build upwards, or outwards or both, and lift off roofs to play within a structure - even play on multiple levels at the same time. Games like Kill Team and Cityscape absolutely rock. In fact it expands what you can do with practically any sci-fi game. You game doesn't have multi level rules? write a house rule. Think outside the box, there's no need to confine yourself to the small tiles that came with the game you play. Think big, think 3D, and you'll never ever look at a game in quite the same way again. Playing games on this terrain is just insanely good fun.

Battle Systems just previewed a future stretchgoal add-on. It's well within reach before the end of the KS, and it's their new version of infested walls. In the original they released a wall pack that could be used to replace normal walls with ones that had infestation drawn on them. This time they've come up with something slightly different. 3D infestation that sticks out of the walls and covers the floors, and that (I'm sure) you could add (or remove) during game play - ie you could start clean and have the infestation spread from a source across your setup.
Anyone fancy a bug hunt?

The infested parts are the straw that finally broke my camel pledging back.
Plus the fact I don't need to paint it (versus the piles of Deadzone stuff that will never see a lick of paint) makes my table a much more colorful place.
The sheer amount of bonus content certainly is helping too.

just a quick update, we've blown through the stretchgoals before the infestation add-on, both of which added more free stuff to a core pledge. There are now well over 80 pieces of free terrain - a mixture of architectural parts and scatter, well over what was given in their previous campaigns, and it works out at approximately a half a core set free for every core set purchased.
Battle Systems have announced pricing for the Infestation add-ons. There are 3 versions covering 1/3, 2/3 and a full single level of a 2'x2' setup (at least - it's depend on how you set up of course), priced at £12, £23 and £32 pounds.

It'll take some getting used to of course, but with practice you ought to be setting up a layout in 15-20 minutes tops, and maybe quicker. Also, if you have the space to store, because it clips together, there's nothing to stop you from pre-constructing sections prior to your game and then you can just plonk it down and go.
There is some initial work of course making up some of the items - crates, chairs etc, but nothing that can't be done of an evening in front of the TV. Some parts, particularly the very colourful bits, will benefit from having the edges penned, and again, if you approach this with some logic, it's not a difficult or even particularly time consuming task, and of course once it's done, it's done.

Yup this ends on Saturday night, so if you're still pondering, it's time to take another look.
Here's a recap.
3 basic core sets
Frontier
Galactic
and Outlands
[img]https://ksr-ugc.imgix.net/assets/014/454/820/2b741a1467e61bc166bc19f8ec89c4c9_original.jpg?w=680&fit=max&v=1478736976&auto=format&q=92&s=3111cf71b26b83770136f93cfdeb9e78
[/img]
and you'd get the following freebies with any and all of the above (a complete set of freebies for every single core set you buy)
That's an enormous quantity of cardboard. In fact it works out that for each core set you get about half as much again for free. Great value.,
Then there are a huge range of add-ons such as extra mats, a medi-bay, a huge arrivals/landing bay, a detention block and lots more.
They are still adding yet more freebies, and also have a big reveal lined up for something special later today.
Automatically Appended Next Post:
Well this project is now in the final 24 hours. We unlocked the infestation add-on and a couple more freebies, and now we're fast heading towards 1000% funding. That will unlock yet another add-on. We're not sure what it is yet, but here's a sneak peak pic. Everything in this picture apart from the mat is new, so that's a lot of cool stuff - 2 types of doorway, multiple walls, struts, and some crates.
It has a certain grimdark-ness to it. It could be a derelict "hulk" great for chasing xenos around, or maybe it's just a cool engineering department for the sets already released. We'll find out soon enough. In the meantime, take a look, and come join in the fun.

Well Battle Systems finally revealed their super secret end of KS surprise, and it's not a full core pledge, and nor is it just a small engineering section. It's an add-on that can be integrated into the core sets of course, but is a standalone in its own right - a full single level gothic styled crawler. £50 including its own mat !
Perfect for chasing your favourite xenos around in!
Why not take an Outlands core set giving you a table's worth of cool buildings that can be played inside and out, and one of these on the side for when you break out Space Hulk ?
