Subject: How do the new formations for CSM work

Hello, im trying to builde a competative CSM list. And it seems like there is some real power in Traitors Hate.
Im thinking of using Soul Switch to get into CC early. Can i take Maelstrom of gore, to get the +3 inch charge, place a sorch and murderous Chaos lord into a group of Berzerkers and get the +3 inch charge. The rules say each unit get +3 inch charge and fleet. Will this also applie for IC that join the unit?
Im thinking of having 2 sorch, each in a unit with Berserkers. Then have some Flesh hounds scout move, and change place with them. with +3 and fleet i should relible be able to get a charge in the first turn. I also want to put some more ICs into the unit to make the charge more noticble.
THank you in advance.

According to GW's draft FAQ, joined ICs don't benefit from formation bonuses unless specified.

Everyone still always moves at their own speed though.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

RAW? No. But considering CSM aren't a great codex I say it would be quite a TFG move to say: no you can't! on a strictly "friendly" enviroment.

I'm planning to create a list with Terminator Annihilation, Raptor Talon, the formation with 4-5 Maulerfiends, and then some sorta Fortification to round it off for the Warpsmith to cowardly sit in.
