Hey y'all with the new application of the sisters of silence where do you guys think you they would fit well? if you don't know where to find the rules for them they are here: https://www.games-workshop.com/resources/PDF/Datasheets/Burning%20of%20Prospero%20Imperial%20Datasheets.pdf
I was thinking about putting them with my skitarii admech force maybe a side combined arms detachment once they announce some form of HQ for them (like they did with the genestealer cults) I would most likely put that combined arms detachment along with my war convocation. What do you guys think? and where else would you guys put them? I think they are a great application to many armies because they are a complete shutdown to all grey knights and eldar. Also while we're on the topic where would you guys put the custodians? Personally I think that with the custodes vexilla and deapstrike they would be even larger melee monsters even larger than those accursed BA...

Thanks guys,
Xofox

They seriously lack of mobility and durability (they are only T3 right?), they are just footsloging MEQ right?
Then They are awesome when dealing with Grey Knight and most of the psykers OF THE ARMIES OF IMPERIUM, like Tigirius and all footsloging Librarians, psyker Inquisitors and Primaris Psykers of IG.
But they are nothing more than a piece of useless junk if you want to take them against the most commonly seen and dangerous psykers in forces of Chaos and Xenos, for example, Fateweaver, LoC, Flying Daemon Princes; Eldar Jetbike Farseers and Warlocks (especially the Jetseer council), Flying Hive Tyrant, GSC Patriarch and Magus, etc.. The winged Daemons can just fly away from those ladies and the girls can Never Never catch them up; Eldars and Flyrant will shooooot them DEAD DEAD DEAD with tons upon tons of S6 shots, or at the very least, fly away from them. GSC, Oh man, whenever those girls get close to their psykers to make use their "Psychic nullify" ability, they will either get torn to pieces by Patriarch and the bodyguard Genestealers immediately, or watching the that Magus and his men "return to the shawdows" right in front of them then "Cult Ambush" next turn to reappear on the other side of the table before "mind control" a Squad of your units to shoot your own guys off the board.

They should be mainly used just like a Culexus, protect your gun line or valuable assets from deathstars with psychic buffs.

Put them in a bunker or a bastion

How do you even use these Datasheets? Are they used as elite choices for any Imperium army or what? There's no description that I can find for how you're able to take them in any army.

Unbound only.

At the moment they are unbound only

A cheap flamer team that can shut off invisibility. They seem like they're meant to support a heavily mechanized army.

With the blades, they can take out basic terminators pretty nicely as well. They strike at a higher initiative of 5 (idk how but ok) and S4 AP2. For being as cheap as they are, it's not a bad tradeoff.

Being only available to unbound kinda makes them worthless to me, at least in 40k. I could see them making an appearance in 30k, but again they'd be kinda worthless there too. Guess we need to wait and see what FW comes up with for their rules.

Its basically a much cheaper culexus. What you do is put them in a bunker in front or next to your Riptide wing, WK, scatter bikes and etc. Once a deathstar with a bunch of psychic buff gets within 12", you blast them to pieces.

And like Culexus, they are only good in shut down Imperium psychic deathstars to aid the Xenos forces in defeating the various of SM, IG, Inqusitions, etc.
You want other way around, want them to help armies of imperium in shuting down Flying Inferno Tetra DPs or Jetseer Councils? Well, It is not 100% imposible, but only when your opponent making serious mistake or absent-minded, would you stand a tiny chance of success.

Seer council lists aren't really tier 1 any more, especailly with the GW FAQ draft. Tetra is tough if they get the right gifts and roll the right powers, but they are still more manageable compared to SM Deathstars and Cabal Stars. Tau for example can deal with shrouded or invis units with/without culexus, only the Tz Prince with impossible robe can effectively survive Tau fire power.

Bear in mind they have to be on the table (ie not embarked) for their aura to function under the GW FAQ ruling

Now that Sisters of Silence have a new formation that allows them to be used in 40K in Battleforged armies, what is the best way to equip and run them?

I am tempted to say the Bolter variation might be the best one. The Flamer version might be as well. Without a good way to get them up the field and in to combat, the swords are a waste.

Yes of course, you put them in a building initially so they don't get gak before they go to work. So for the price of 1 Culexus, you can run 2 separate squads, hopefully that will be enough for your the rest of your army to whittle down Aaron Aelong's SM deathstar.

Yeah except no one plays those. The only real stars you see nowdays are barkbark, superfriends, ironhands and cabal. 3 out of 4 of those the SOS shut down no problem. You take them to keep a melee star from charging into your lines. Remeber, if you protect them properly a psychic using opponent is gonna have to overextend to target them woth whatever shooting they have and risks getting their powers shut off or leaving something vulnerable.

As for weapons, all swords all the time. You don't need them to kill things, they're worth their points just to exist and imagine how a non-psychic droppod marine player is gonna feel choosing between killing you biggest most expensive gun or the 15 S4 ap2 I5 attacks you have sitting in your backfield at 75pts a piece.
