x10 Shoota Boyz (Nob, Big Choppa)
x12 Grots

Auxilleries
x5 Warbikes
x5 Tankbustas
x5 Tankbustas
x3 Traktor Kannon

Got a 2 day tournament coming up, so thought I'd roll out my Orks. Bit different from what I'd normally bring.

The main idea, is having MSU, all fearless. Ghazghkull makes the whole army fearless (even the Grots!).
Everything is on foot, but the option to run and charge is there.

The local meta involves a whole lot of Grav (usually in drop pods), which will struggle against this list. There's no vehicles, and every unit (except the bikes) will be wounded on a 6+ (tournament rule pack - grav uses majority save).

Honestly, points were tight.

Just bare bones, the Council and Waaagh! Band leave precious few points for upgrades.
It's also a very Grav and Str. D heavy meta.
Once the ablative Nobz are dead, Mega armour becomes a liability.

I did think about that.
It's a tricky choice, the traktors won't be useful in every game, but the meat-shields.. er... I mean grots, can be.
It's a tough one. Shame points are so tight.

I love it. It's a great anti-meta list. The only vulnerablity I see is loosing gazgul and therefore fearless. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks
Yes, keeping Ghaz alive is key. He's pretty durable, and very resistant to Grav, but Str. D weapons are still a major concern.

It is an ITC even, so the D chart is toned down slightly, and there does tend to be a good amount of LoS-blockign terrain. But those darn Eldar still seem to have a way around every rule...

Yeah I really like it too being honest.
Could you squeeze 35 points for a trukk and take 10 bustas in it?

IIRC, grots are a required choice in the waaagh band.

My 2 cents - those boyz on foot are fearless, but are going to get picked off pretty easily - I might cut a PK or two from the nobz and try and buy ghaz and pals a humble trukk. Getting them up in the enemy's face asap isn't a bad idea.

The council is a fun formation, but it's so expensive to unlock.

I do love trukks.
One reason there are no vehicles in the list is transport. This army needs to survive the cargo hold of a plane
Trukks didn't do well last time, got damaged :(

I might copy this and try it out. Whats the tactics for it Grendel?
Run forwards with multiple obsec keeping Ghaz alive? how are you splitting the characters up/squadding them?
Whats your aux support roles?
Any defense VS pie plates/flamer spam?

Sadly none of the troops have Objsec.

The only character assignment is the bike boss goes with the bikes, and the Mek goes into the Traktor Kannons (giving them fearless).

Tactics are going to vary a lot depending on what I get drawn against. But keeping Ghaz alive is key. He might be the cheese in a cunning trap or two if people are determined to kill him..

Focusing on objectives more than the enemy as well.

Deffkoptas might serve you better than tankbustas on foot. Or even more units of mek gunz. Even dropping them altogether would get you points for trukks for some of you units. Getting up to the enemy's have seems like the goal but sloggin it seems counterintuitive.

I've run min units of tankbustas in the past and i find they never get anywhere and miss most targets that 1 klaw would remove.

I love your list and models! Looks like the sort of list that would be fun to lose against, which is great for the game.

What's that giant ork model?? Some kind of daemon prince/mega nob conversion??

Aye, that's one of my Warbosses.
Uses Ghazghkull's legs and Klaw. With a Daemon Prince torso on top.

Tournament is next weekend.
Had a practise game against Space Wolves that went pretty well. Small throwaway units can really tie those wolves up.
