Hmm, pretty even split on the poll.

They've been alluding to an End Time for 40K for some time now (and a lot of the campaign books of late remind me of the releases that led to the WHFB End Times - disclaimer, haven't *read* them), and I do believe they had one planned, but after the fallout with WHFB, I have the feeling they've gone back and are reconsidering the extent and impact it will have on 40K overall. I'm confident we'll still get one of some sort, but it won't be as disruptive as the Age of Sigmar turned out to be.

It never ends well

The clock is clearly moving. One whole Segmentum went dark, didn't it? That's in the last main rulebook. Daemon Primarchs are coming back. It's going to move past midnight. I expect the Imperium as we know it will "technically fall" but there will be enough human enclaves protected by SM and other armed forces that the change will be barely noticeable. The return of old champions will in fact herald a new era of hope, and 40k will shift more towards noblebright, just like WHFB did, but without resetting everything. I expect the feel to shift from "in the long run everything is lost no matter how hard we fight" to "the worst has happened and we're still here".

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.
