I have a buddy that is looking at running the list below and asked me for thoughts on it. I went up against something similar and it was pretty nasty to fight (granted I'm not that great).
T-70 X-Wing: · "Snap" Wexley
Veteran Instincts
· R2-D2
Autothrusters
· Black One
Primed Thrusters
T-70 X-Wing: · Nien Nunb
Snap Shot
· R3-A2
Autothrusters
Y-Wing: Gold Squadron Pilot
Ion Cannon Turret
R2 Astromech
Engine Upgrade
-- TOTAL ------- 100/100p. --
His tactics tend to focus on getting in close and stressing the crap out of aces (Nien Nunb gets to interrupt if you get in close on the arc, and then snap shoot adding stress.
Could. But that is an expensive blocker. The good thing is it'll probably have other targets to shoot at due to the turret, but, eh. 2 Bandits will cost you a bit less.

So thoughts on counters to it or what might worry this list? Especially from an Imperial perspective would be cool. (So I can learn better how to beat it :-) )
I'd say ignore the 2 x-wings for a turn or two and hammer the y-wing into scrap. Having played a few games with Nien Nunb... he's not that easy to line up for his ability.
I think a Tie swarm would do well against this. Especially if you focus on blocking his moves to deny actions.
