I've been looking around the web for the SM mechanicum shoulderpads (the ones you get with SM vehicles), but alas, I cannot find any in my usual places (ebay, few bitz stores, FLGS). Does anyone know of a decent bitz store that may have a plethora of them? I'm going to need alot of them for my entire mechanicus-aligned SM force so purchasing the odd one or two won't do (also, bear in mind i'm located in the UK, so I don't want to be using a US-based store).

I'm looking for them specifically because I -hate- using transfers on SM pauldrons, so I would like the nice embossed logo on them.

You could try sculpting the logo, and make a mould of it.

I thought about doing something like that, I have some mini-moulds from TT combat. Perhaps I could press the shoulderpad into the mould, then use greenstuff to cast it? (This is all new territory for me)

Also, I can't sculpt worth a damn, let alone something like the mechanicus symbol :( My skills lie with cloaks, that's about it xD

Which stores have you used? I tend to go between Bitzbox, Bits and Kits, Forbidden Gaming, Let the Dice Decide and eBay.

Yea, that would work fine, you press in the pad to the mould, then when the greenstuff has set its still a little bendy so you can form it to the curve of the paldron. you could honestly do a few batches at once and be done in no time.
