After playing with many armies for many years I decided to build an Ork force and I have to say they are the funnest models I've built and painted. I'll post what I have one unit at a time, dragging out the suspense. I keep a blog of my builds if anyone wants to see more detail. I've also started a small webstore to help fund the hobby. I love the subdued, rusty look you have going here. It really counterbalances the inherent over-the-top-ness of GW's Ork range. What's up next?

Love em dusty and rusty

They're dirty and worn and beat up and i mean that in the best way.

And it really looks the best on the leather bits. they look like real worn out and worn well leather clothing and helmets.

i'd love to see even more!

I believe the term for mini-nobs is 'nubs'! And yes, you are right, having proper nobs as leaders looks so much better!

Trukks are comin'

Today are the bikers:

The first trukk, boyz gotta get around Fast!

The low slung profile of your truck reminds me of racing around the sandy flats of gorka morka! Much speedier visual than the jacked up off-road look of the current kit!

Also bonus points for the White-walled tyres; every speed junky needs them. I know my Slaanesh Biker champion has 'em!

All your work is great but those Trukks take the biscuit. Low, sleek yet brutal. Also, are those Orkish white walls?

Thanks everybody! They really are fun to work on, and it stretches my skills to modify existing techniques for Scale Modeling to make them work for gaming. The dust especially was difficult to make robust so it didn't wipe off constantly. Anyhow, I had to have some buggies to match, and the kits are terrible...

The mob has a couple of battlewagons, here's the first:

Awesome job on the battewagon, it's a nice change from the tank based ones and the weathering is spot on.

These look fantastic. What is your weathering technique to finish the models?

That's where I stopped, but I use a lot of GW Typhus Corrosion, silver sharpies, and pigments to get the final effect.
