Very nice! I'm so happy that the WHTV team got to expand and do even more of what they do best, they're probably the best thing GW have going right now. Love the approach they're taking with the articles, almost like a WD complement with a more casual approach. And as expected, no forum. They have Facebook for that and it works great.
Edit: oh and Duncan at the end of the video <3

Yeah, Duncan is a gentleman and a scholar He'll be damned if he'll let anyone make the mistake of NOT thinning their paints

First one I read, it was wonderful to see how we all start the same

Like a forum would have been anything but crap. Come on. And Comment sections are no better. Do you really want 1500 threads of "GW nerf Eldar you s!"?
They have models and articles from non-GW people, which is already community enough from my standpoint, and the Facebook groups for comments and feedback.

It's nice to now have free access to the additional boardgame rules and painting articles from WD. Plus quite some new ones already. No forum was a good choice, people can talk to them on FB. I'm looking forward to the first batch of user-written articles. After reading for 30 minutes on the new page, I think well done GW

Would be nice yes, but GW already released FAQs today if you read it in the News and Rumours thread today. Same old GW. Here is hoping when the actual First Drafts or by the time 8th edition comes out if this was a test how to do 8th edition FAQs, things will be a lot better.

Surprisingly I did, first thing I did.

Why is this called "Community"?
Cynical side of me says this is GW being smoke and mirrors. Realist side of me, know how we as a community, nerds and geeks can be very toxic and negative and no matter what GW does, there will be a nerd/geek who will need to put in some toxicity because we have nothing else better to do and just complain instead of letting GW try to change.
Do we really need a GW forum? After all we have Dakka. Also who knows, baby steps right. Do little bit at a time and learn and grow the site properly instead of trying to do everything all at once.
Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.
Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Look at the average dakka general discussion page.
Count the anti-GW rage posts.
And this is when they DONT think GW is reading or cares about what they have to say.
"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"
"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"
"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"
"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Edit, ot maybe a dwarven golem for AOS. Look like a dwarf hammer rune in the bottom right
Just seen the other thread looks like some cool models if they are bringing steam punk dwarves out for AoS I'm going to be skint. If it's squats....then oh boy.

Smoke and mirros is the word of the day indeed.
Except it is a community page as they plan to post articles written by members of the community as has been noted in this thread.
