'lo there

I've been looking at the Ultramarines RoW Logos Lectora, and have been wondering how to interpret the limitation worded as follows:

- Detachments using this Rite of War must take an additional compulsory HQ choice in addition to that usually required by the force organisation chart, and this second compulsory choice must be either a Master of Signal Consul or a Damocles Rhino.

I've been wondering if that means that you can take 4 HQ choices if you use this right of war, 3 slots + another compulsory, or if it's just a roundabout way of saying two HQ slots are now compulsory. The use of "addition" twice leads me to suspect that it's the former, however I was just wondering what people thought before making a decision.

I read that as 3 total HQ slots, 2 of which are compulsory. The second must be either a master of signal or a damocles.

Yeah, I can see why that would probably would seem like the intended purpose. However the "addition to that usually required in the force organisation chart" was what makes me think that perhaps it was something outside of the vanilla force org. It's just the confusion of whether it the wording is complex to outline something special, or it has just gone a bit overboard to cement an idea and as such thrown some uncertainty into the mix.

Yup, they just went a bit overboard in describing it.

'that usually required' refers to the usual requirement of 1 Compulsory HQ.
