Q: Is the maximum number of powers a Psyker can use in their turn equal to their Mastery Level, or the number of powers they have (due to Psychic Focus they often have one more power than their Mastery Level)?
A: Unless explicitly permitted to do so, Psykers may not attempt to manifest more psychic powers than the number of their Mastery Level within a single Psychic phase.
I'm new to playing GK...
Since most units are ML1 but know more than one spell, they can only choose 1 spell per turn? Meaning a Dreadknight has to pick from, force, sanctuary, or. Banishment that turn.

Purifiers are even more useless now that the they can't nova from Rhinos. About the only thing they can still do besides cost too much is hit Invisible units.

Yeah, this FAQ hurts us a bit. It also says Deep Strike Reserve =/= Deep Strike. I know lots of us used to say that was the same so we could use Rites of Teleportation after Gate of Infinity.
So to recap:
1. Can't cast more than ML level.
2. MC's need 25% for cover.
3. No shooting and moving after Gate.
Psilencers were already debated as worthwhile, but now we're giving up a Hammerhand/Sanctuary slot to actually make them effective and our Dreadknights have a harder time offsetting Sanctuary with a cover save. Ouch.

One up side so far is that ML is counted per Psyker model, not per Psyker unit, as an ML3 GK Librarian attached to an ML1 GKT squad generates 4 warp charges ratger than the debated 1 warp charge due to the wording of BoP. At least there's that.

Yeah, glad to have that one firmly on our side. It did not make sense to neuter our charges.

On the brighter side our Dreadnoughts that have no way to get into combat other than walking 6 inches per turn now get 4 attacks base.
