Hello guys i am planning on starting my first Space Marine army and i have a few questions.

*Do White Scars use dreadnoughts and devastator squads?

*How are the White Scars organized with them having no devastator squads and many speeders and bikes?

*How are they painted? when i google all pictures are diffrent. Some have red feet some have white feet, some have red shoulder edges and some have white?

*Are 1850 points standard?

I am UBER compedetive and want to destroy everyone i meet in battle so i wonder what the best list is. This is what i have gatherd to be the best so far.
How would you go about finnishing my list and what items on characters maybe hunters mark?
What second HQ?
Is this list bad?
My thinking is that 15 grav cannons will destroy enemy heavies and whirlwinds will decimate infantry.
Are the 15 grav cannons enough anti heavy?

Battle Company 1850 Points

Khan

Bike Command squad with grav cannons

Minimun tacticals and devastators in rhinos with hatches and grav cannons and assault squads in drop pods

Suppresion force with 3 whirlwinds and land speeder

My thinking is that 15 grav cannons will destroy enemy heavies and whirlwinds will decimate infantry.

Idea here is to run the libby's with the command squad and Khan and the Chappy. They cast Psychic Maelstrom when needed the command squad all have meltas and everyone will ignore cover with The Hunter's Eye. The libby's then all roll on Divination.

Hoping they can buff the squad with Forewarning, Prescience, Perfect timing. Also hoping to roll on Misfortune so that the Whirlwinds could dominate a target with Shred, Rending, Pinning & Ignore Cover

*Do White Scars use dreadnoughts and devastator squads? Yes to Devastators, no to Dreadnoughts. They find interment within a Dreadnought sarcophagi to be abhorrent, as they believe it confines their warrior spirit

*How are the White Scars organised with them having no devastator squads and many speeders and bikes? White Scars use bikes/speeders/aircraft A LOT. They don't have many devastator squads, as it goes against their method of warfare. Though feel free to have a few guys on foot in Rhino/Land Raider transports as an all bikes force limits your firepower on the tabletop a bit.

Yes and yes. Albeit lot less dreadnoughts and devastators would be in transports,.

They have devastators. They are still CODEX adherent chapter with standard companies. This means companies 2-5 are 6 tacticals, 2 devastators, 2 assault squads. See? Already 8 squads of devastators. Along with entire company of devastators(was it 8th or 9th).

Maybe you see some count-as white scar armies?

But tip: Don't go overboard with white. Have instead very pale grey like ulthuan grey as main colour with pure white as edge highlights. When I got that my white went LOT better.

How long have you been playing 40k? Because if it hasn't been long, you might want to get some experience under your belt before you try crumping everybody.

Also, get a feel for your local meta. Are they hyper-competitive too? If so, great! Prepare to get butt-smashed a few times while you learn, even with a great list. If not... Don't be that guy. Don't be the guy who brings super hard lists against soft ones. That's not fun-it's just mean, and no one will want to play you.
