A 0.49% drop isn't great, but it isn't tanking.

Is not even close to "being tanked" it isn't significantly above the daily fluctuation of the stock price.

Holy crud anyone who bought GW stock right after the Brexit vote will have made nearly £100/share :|
They must be doing *something* right to recover that well.

From a customer perspective, no.

Not really. Stocks *never* really stay stable. .5-1% up and down are standard. I mean check the past five business days- it was lower on Monday than it was on close on Friday.
This is pretty standard stuff. I mean look back to June- stock was significantly lower than it is now.

I really do not understand the people who wish for demise of GW. If you don't like their products, don't buy them.
And if you're not going to buy their stuff anyway, why do you care whether the company exists or not? The fact remains that a lot of people enjoy their products and it is pretty callous to wish that they'd be deprived of that enjoyment.
Like I think that most of Mantic minis are utter crap, but I still don't wish ill for Mantic. Many people like their products and their liking a thing I don't like don't hurt me in any way.

Fair point - I do recall in one of their older shareholders reports when King Kirby was in power that both Saudi Economic Interests and a couple of pension funds subscribe to one of their holding companys.
Still it would be nice to reframe it as General's Handbook Saved the UK Economy

The question remains as to which is the more powerful document, it or Article 50.
My bet is on article 50, so whenever it gets used you'll come out on the winning side again :|

A company going * Poof * isn't at all what Sister players are feeling now.
Sister players are now getting.
- You can order most minis to web order for decent prices.
- You can still order most paints you used to use.
- GW and Indep stores to play.
- Core rule updates
- Other players to play with.
- All sorts of hype from GW sites.
Now this all goes away when it goes *poof* over night.
It isn't just not getting updates, its paying 30$ a sister on ebay while at the same time rapidly losing stores to play in.
Gw not going *poof* is great ( except for my wallet and vacation plans )

In 2013/14 or thereabouts, a rush to divest of gold led to tonnes of the stuff being driven out of London basements and put on planes bound for China. It ended up being our 2nd or 3rd-largest export commodity that year. I for one would like to see something similar happen with Magnus miniatures.
"Magnus the Red saves UK Economy" has a nice ring to it. He's the hero we deserve.

Never before have I ever seen "fans" (outside of Planetside 2) that so eagerly post stock values, and wish for the company keeping their game and models alive to fail, and thousands to lose their jobs. You do realise that if GW fails, you will lose your forgeworld, and your novels, the balance issues will never be fixed, and nobody will ever enter 40k again?
The hobby will slowly die, with no new models to buy outside of gouged eBay prices. Standardized rules will fail, as each enclave of players uses their own ruleset and FAQ due to GW not being able to update the game anymore.
It's fething disturbing that you seem to want for that to happen, and watch the stocks with lustful eyes, hoping for absolute destruction instead of hoping for change.

Of course not.
I'd rather they just update my army properly.
But it is nice to fantasize about how people who played other armies would react if they didn't get any new models ever again.
Not well, as this thread is showing.
