The AOBR Ork Boyz are monopose push fit models. If you're looking for all the options and poseability, grab Boyz from the regular kit

Both the Lootas and Boyz sets have one Rokkit Launcha each; best to try and get more by shopping on bitz sites if you can

Burna kits are awfull value wise really. Do not get those for tank busta's they kome with 1 mek and only 4 burna's / loota's.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Also you might want to know that the only 1 melta bomb in close combat faq became final making tank busta's a bit more meh than they used to be.

A good thing to do with the Lootas set is to buy 2 and a set of Boyz - that gives you 8 Burnas and 8 Lootas. Then you just need to buy the last 2 Burnas/Deffgunz on a bitz site and you have 2 full squads. Pretty good value overall, at least on the model side of things

Hmmm ok. Are tankbustas not a good unit then? Love the Lootas sitting on objectives offering fire support. Burnas better than tankbustas? Was going to be taking them in a gun wagon. Have the grukks box, do the nobs have rokkits I can kit bash?

Tank busta's are still ok, they used to be great pre faq. Its good to remember this when you look at all the pre FAQ ork lists going crazy about them. Burna's are a bit weird. I love them, but they are just way too overpriced for how durable they are.

No idea what Tankbustas are like in 7th, but I'd bet on "not very good"
If you're not planning to play competitively, I'd go with them anyway - don't let rules spoil the modelling part of the hobby for you
The Nobz Mob has a couple of Kombi Rokkits, but nothing else; the only kits with Rokkit Launchas are in the Lootas/Burnas set and the Boyz set.

Your talking orks here... any small missile type will do for rockets just lop the end of a shoota and stick a rocket on it job done or trim the barrel off leaving a 'rail' for launching. Works with hunter killer missiles/model plane missiles (small ones) even gaurd mortars can be bashed into a rocket tube.

Yup, someone I know just used some tubing to do more Bazooka style Rokkit Launchas.
Tankbustas rules are actually fairly good. They aren't the best Elites choice out there (Meganobz take that title) and they'll probably out performed by Mek Gunz for value because they are BS3.
But that's not why you buy Tankbustas. You buy Tankbustas to have 10 Rokkits flying up the board in a Trukk with a Rokkit. Even at BS2 eleven Str8 Rokkits are nothing to sniff at. Overall I'd say definitely make them, they're fun and they'll eat Predators for breakfast (Provided the Predator doesn't eat them first).

I often use tankbustas - 5 in a trukk. They're pretty mediocre but i need the trukk and at least something that can deal damage to vehicles not in melee, so i use them. They managed to kill a few khornedogs and sm bikers but haven't done much vs vehicles other than a shake or stun here and there. So, i might as well drop them in favor of saving points for cullexus. Those wizards flying around in magic ruins and teleporting for 1-st turn charges with invisible deathstars are super annoying.
As for actually making them, just glue something remotely cartoon-rocket looking to a shoota. Or even to a slugga. Or to a choppa - say they use it as boomerang but it never returns.

The rokkits that come in boyz kits and the loota/burna kits work quite well for tankbustas. The boyz kits also have these landmine with a handle looking thing that works well for tankbusta bombs. Ive also clipped off the rokkits from kombi shootas from the Nobz kit to attach them to different Ork shoota/slugga weapons. I even have an Ork throwing a missile (from the Ork flyer kit) like a javelin.
Another simple way to make rokkit launchas would be to take some long hollow tube and cut off a slugga so only trigger/grip remains and use the tubing to make bazookas. Add on some plasticard (or cut up a plastic yard sale sign into tiny bits) to make a blast shield for extra detail.
