I was bargain hunting (or at least attempting to) on ebay for my army when I went the GW store to compare prices, when a thought hit me after looking at the ork boy price, does the dip in the pound make it cheaper for US people to buy from their website directly? Basically I mathed some stuff out that at the current rate it would be cheaper to order directly from GW than from the stuff on ebay, especially with the orders >40 pounds not paying shipping. I also factored in the slightly more than 30 dollars boyz I got as the first part of my army would have been cheaper by ordering this way $22.46 for boyz on the website at the current rate.
So as the title asks, is it okay to order from the website? Y'all had good results?

Edit: Holy hell never mind I am a moron didn't notice the region stuff at the top right of their website. Any way to delete a thread?
Another edit: Wait no, it is still slightly cheaper to get it from the website than the store. So I guess my original question still stands.

GW UK won't ship to the states (certainly not for free) and they won't allow UK mail order places to ship to the US either.

What you could do, if you're going to spend a decent amount is buy from Dark Sphere, have it shipped to a UK mail forwarding service and then shipped to the US.

You could also go to...any other shop besides GW (where you actually get discounts).

I would order from an online retailer before ever ordering from GW's website (unless its resin stuff which most online sellers don't discount as much or even sell at all). Ideally you should buy from the FLGS you play at to support them as they support the local community but if your looking to save then go with online sellers. Personally I recommend Frontline Gaming as they are very active with the community, good prices/deals, and their customer service has been great. If your not supporting your local scene then at least support a company that supports the NA / global scene.

There is a lot of GW-and-Direct-Only stuff on GW's online store.
Most stockists can get most of it, though there is some you can't get elsewhere.

Always buy locally when you can, discount online next, and GW if you can't get what you want elsewhere.

For GW I always try to place like more than 1 box things online for discounts; if it's 1 box or something that I just decide I want I'll buy from my local store (also a GW store), and if I want to try and get OOP things or bulk cheap I hit up ebay. The prices are too ridiculous to justify buying bulk (like > $200) at retail unless you have absolutely no choice.

Some FLGS offer discounts on GW products, but conversely tend to not carry a lot. There's one by me (that I play Warmachine at) which has 20% discount on GW, but only has like maybe two dozen actual boxes of various things; if it was something I actually wanted I'd buy it there just for the discount.
