What is the thing embedded in her right leg? I think Alarielle carries something similar

IIRC, It is a soul pod - a vial containing the essence of a sylvaneth which grows a bit differently depending on where you plant it (Drycha being a fine example of it - planted in a place of dark energies she grew even more angry than she was back in the old world)

Yup and that was done intentionally and all the other glades are wondering what purpose the everqueen has for bringing back Drycha, personally I think its simply because how good she is at killing people who threaten the forest and the sylvaneth.
