After the release of Traitor Legions I have decided to start a new chaos legion. I have narrowed it down to Word bearers (although the book didn't do much for them imo) Alpha Legion (fanstastic rules) death guard (simply amazing rules but an overdone army in my opinion) and finally the Night Lords! There rules are not fantastic but they are good! so please take a look at my list and tell me what you think!

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

Personally I don't really like the use of a terminator annihilation force in a night lords list due to their fluff mainly being fast and scary which termies only cover half of.

My fluff monster within me would be more happy if you used more bikes/raptors and/or a heldrake terror formation. This would be cheaper than the terminators and the Heldrake formation will stack with night lord's special rules for -3,4,5 Ld to your enemies.

However, if you want to keep your termies then meltas is the way to go. The rest of you list looks good too witrh lots of anti armour and you're termies have some cc capabilities too.

I do love to follow fluff myself and to me the Terminators would be fluffy. Would they not? They would deep strike in out of no where and cause havoc! I despise Helldrakes and try use them as little as possible!

I could take out the Terminators and add in some spawn and some more bikes but would it be as effective?

What's wrong with the Hell Turkey?

If you really want to keep the Terminators then what you have now is completely fine, no need to swap out for bikes/spawn.

I think sticking with a raptor talon and warband and just using a unit of terminators as the elite part of the warband would be better if you then put the points saved into more bike units and more raptors. Not to mention fluffier.

Definitely go for one unit of termies though, just for the cool factor if nothing else.

I don't think the rhino for the havocs is really necessary. You get a boost to your cover saves so set them up in cover and you're good
