Why this whould happen?

I'm not North Korea fan, but I puzzled that one of their very few links with the outside world being cut.

I'm sure, there were no materials to be considered as a rules breking, just relatively neutral news

A private company telling a person or company they can't use the service anymore is no more censorship than me asking you to leave my house when you won't stop shouting about how Malta was secretly behind Trump getting elected. Just because you have freedom to say something, that doesn't mean other people lose their freedom to ask you to leave their property.

Twitter's user base plateaued while they were still free speech uber alles. Its likely that one issue with expanding twitter is that many people don't actually want to be harassed by a collection of angry weirdos. Twitter themselves have finally learned this, and while so far they've done very little, you'll note their bans so far have been for harassing behaviour, not for saying simply making controversial tweets.

To add to this there is a limit to the amount of offense you can cause with 140 characters of text. Videos on the other hand have no such limitations. YouTube has long been stricter than Twitter..

That's because their situation is precarious, but it's not one of sure doom. Amazon has always been in precarious finances but it hasn't stopped them.

The biggest problem Twitter has has nothing to do with age groups. Their problem is that they need people to use twitter to generate revenue, and the service has always struggled to keep up user use over time (and has thus depended on new users to provide growth).

I don't use much of any social media, but I definitely don't know why anyone would use Twitter over Facebook. Twitter's interface is awkward

If your president-elect is anything to go by, I think people use it because lies which fit into 140 characters often take more than 140 characters to refute. Which makes Twitter a great medium for spreading misinformation as rebuttals can end up spread over multiple responses or links to external sites, which people may not follow.

Again, Twitter has never made a profit. They've always been pretty clear about this, being publicly traded and all. Their failure to make a profit this year is not surprising, not unexpected.

Just wanna jump in here. Took an entrepreneurship class in college that talked about this. Amazon's "precarious finances" have been because even though they've been making profit, they kept putting all their money into warehouses/networking/improving their business, so that once they stop doing that, they'll essentially explode profitwise.
